You are bidding on a 1969 Triumph 650 TR6R in very original, un-restored condition. It still has the original front tire, which is worn out, but consistent with miles on the speedometer. The engine and frame numbers match and most of the hardware looks unmolested and correct. The Trophy Red paint has faded to an orange and looks pretty cool as it stands. This is a great opportunity to buy and restore a valuable and appreciating collectable motorcycle at a reasonable price. They are only original once. There are a few new parts on the bike - a high dollar exhaust system that is unused and beautiful, new handlebars, and new reflectors under the gas tank. These parts alone are worth almost $1,000.00. Two friends bought this bike and shared it as College transportation in Ohio during the late 70's/early 80's. It has not run in decades. One of the partners bought the other out and brought the bike to Montana to get it running in the 90's but never had time to work on it. He removed the the Head to de-carbonize it and put it back together , with new gaskets, but did not torque any of the bolts - they are hand tightened only. The top end, and really the whole bike, should be examined/overhauled by a mechanic before using. Buyer is responsible for bike pickup and shipping.
