This auction is for a 1983 Jeep CJ7 Renegade. It currently has a V8 304 motor with less than 5000 miles on new bearings and rings. It has a new aluminum radiator. It has a 5 speed transmission. The tires are 50% on the back and 70% on the front. The 4 wheel drive works fine. There is a u-joint on the front drive shaft that needs replaced. It has a new master brake cylinder, but the brakes are a little soft. Probably needs bled down more. They do work. It has a 3 inch body lift. The power steering box is leaking a little. The hard top needs a few rivets above the windshield. The door hinges are worn and it is 28 years old so it is a little drafty. When it rains the windshield leaks water at the bottom of it. The pull handles on both doors are broke. It does have some rust. The one picture shows a spot on the right fender side. The back window has leaked so the floor behind the back seat is completely rusted out. I have boards over it now. The rear seat and floor are good. The front seats are very worn as are the seat covers that are on it now and the floor is a little rusted. The dimmer switch needs replaced. There is a dent across the hood where it came up and hit the windshield once. The paint is faded and the decals are cracked. It is a bit duller than the pictures show. The fender flares need to be replaced. It is a little rough but it would make a great hunting, fishing and camping vehicle. I drive it everyday, just looking to get something a little newer. A small piece broke in the steering column that controls the ignition contacts. A new ignition switch in the steering column does not fix it. It has nothing to do with the steering. I am describing this Jeep as honest as I can so you know what you are getting. I got stuck with a vehicle last year that was extremely misrepresented. Please ask any questions you might have.
