Vehicle Detail

This is a TR-6 in outstanding condition. I bought it in 2006 from the fellow who had it professionally restored in the late 1990s. It was shipped to me in a closed transport. It has always been stored indoors, professionally maintained, and has only been driven occassionally in nice weather since restoration. I have driven it less than 200 miles since I purchased it. This car looks virtually new under the hood and outside and has not been driven in the rain since restoration. I have not seen any rust on this vehicle anywhere. The paint is also like new. The NADA Retail value for this vehicle is over $19,500. The car was recently fully serviced by a local British Car expert and is ready to go. I will put you in contact with my mechanic if you are the successful bidder. This in not a new car however, as it is over 35 years old. Please take that into consideration before you bid. It is a TR-6, not a new Lexus, therefore it has TR-6 personality. As TR-6's go this is an extremely nice one, but it is still a TR-6. If you are not familiar with simple older British sports cars, then this is probably not the car for you. If you have an appreciation for classics like this, then by all means bid. In the interest of full disclosure, the carpet in the trunk is original and could stand replacing if it bothers you. There is a slight dimple in the sheet metal of the hood where the underside of the hood attaches to the hinges, difficult to see but if you look hard enough it is there. The windshield wipers do not work, but I don't believe this car will ever be driven in the rain again, hopefully. I reserve the right to terminate this auction at any time if I receive an acceptable price from a buyer. Overall, this is one of the nicest TR-6s anywhere. Good Luck.On Apr-22-11 at 08:30:43 PDT, seller added the following information: A potential buyer's inspection revealed that, unbeknownst to me, the left front part of the frame has been cut and rewelded together at some point in this vehicle's history. The car has always perfomed and driven fine in the 5 years I have owned it, but in the interest of full disclosure this is something a buyer should take into account when bidding.
