Coming to you from Jingletown Records and rock band Green Day's headquarters is a fine example of a Classic California 1961 Ford Thunderbird with NO RESERVE. This car features a professionally rebuilt 390 FE engine with MSD Ignition and an Edelbrock Carburator and Intake Manifold as well as various other new parts. Along with the engine the C6 automatic transmission was also professionally rebuilt and shifts smoothly through all the gears. The rear end has also been rebuilt completing the entire drivetrain. The braking system is also all new. As you would expect this T-Bird runs and drives well with no problems. Its a car you can just hop in and cruise. The suspension has been just been professionally replaced with full Air Ride air suspension at the tune of almost $5,000 on all four corners allowing for maximum adjustability to fit your desired taste. There is an electronic air ride control unit mounted in the dash in place of the stock stereo that lets you adjust the height of each wheel individually with the touch of a button, no leaks in this brand new system. The interior has been completely redone including: door panels, carpets, seats headliner and more. The key lock on the passenger side door fell behind the door panel so the door panel will need to come off to reinstall the key lock. There is a custom installed DVD component system featuring a pop-up screen with IPOD Input attached to a power antenna that raises and lowers when the system is turned on or off. The trunk is fully carpeted and features a custom insert with mounted Alpine V12 Amplifiers as well as a custom air tank displaying the THUNDERBIRD cursive writing. Slightly below that is the capacitor allowing quick access to every component in the system. The glass is in good condition throughout the car with no cracks and all windows work however the driver side front and quarter windows need assistance when going up. The original steering wheel is included with the sale of the car. Currently there is a grant steering wheel mounted in its place. The car was originally a slide away and was converted so when placing the car in park you have to make sure you do not go past the park indicator or the car will grind. The chrome shines all over the car and compliments the white paint with slight blue pearl flakes. The wheels are REAL Kelsey Hayes wire wheels which are very rare to find and highly sought after. All the gauges work except for the clock. All lights and signals function as they should. This car is virtually rust free with only very slight bubbling in the paint on the leading edge of the hood along with a little ding where the hood was shut on the air cleaner stud. There is some slight cracking in the paint on the rear quarter panel around the chrome trim, not noticeable until you get up on it. The body is extremely straight on both sides and the car has been garaged for its entire life. As you can see from the pictures this car was very well maintained throughout the years.
