Up for auction is a beautiful, last year of production, 2001 Honda CR500. This bike starts within the first couple kicks when it's cold and the first kick when it's warm. It doesn't have any of the bad starting issues the older 500's have. The bike runs and rides perfect, and needs absolutely nothing. This past winter I completely went over the bike. The frame had the typical worn paint on the sides from riding boots rubbing it, so I had the frame sandblasted. I then painted the frame with Dupont single stage automotive paint. The front and rear fender, and both side panels were also replaced. All suspension bushings are nice and tight, and just greased. Which I did every year no matter how little the bike was ridden. The handlebars and grips are new. The clutch is new, otherwise the engine has never been apart, and runs perfect. No noises, no leaks, lots of compression and shifts perfect. Only aftermarket parts are the Pro Circuit pipe and silencer, which make the bike sound incredible. The factory silencer is included which makes it very quiet, and it fits right up to the Pro Circuit pipe. Overall a beautiful bike ready to ride, or collect.
