1961 Chevrolet Impala bubbletop 409 This is very nice '61 Ermine White 2 door hardtop Impala "bubbletop". It is powered by the famous 409 V8 backed by a powerglide automatic transmission. The body is solid and straight. The paint is 10+ years old and still looks good overall. This is not a freshly restored show car, but is a nicer than average driver. The paint is slick but does have a few small blemishes (see photos). SS emblems have been added, this is not a factory SS car to my knowledge (it's not priced like an original either). The interior is in good overall condition but is definately showing it's age. Put an interior kit in it and take it to the next level or do what I've done and just enjoy it as is. New Firestone radials are mounted on stock steel wheels with facrory hubcaps. It has dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and sounds mean. The motor is strong running to say the least. It is not a numbers matching engine but is period correct and looks stock, it decodes as a '63 409 w/ 340 h.p. The car has factory tinted glass that is in good shape too. I am posting over 90 photos of the car from all angles, top to bottom, to show it's condition and features. This is a beautiful car that combines muscle with class.
