Vehicle Detail

1957 Pontiac Cheftain Safari Wagon 9 Pass / V8 / 1 owner / Az car 92k original miles / 11,536 built over 50 yrs ago This car is a Work of Art driving down the road AN ERA known for when US Highways and Interstates where being built And something called "the SUBURBS" where rising up all over small town America Low RESERVE bid it to win it ! dont regret you didnt later ! fires right up and runs GREAT !! Lots of history from the original owner about this car. Its been in AZ its whole life , was taken off the road back in 71 because of a few minor issues back then. 3 on the tree needs to be rebuilt or adjusted, only way you can get it into Reverse is to pop the hood and manually do it. All the Gears, clutch and trans work. Brakes good too, but would be smart to pull off each drum to check them out if it was put back on the rd. I drove this car up the the store and back recently until the waterpump started leaking badly. Tires are very OLD and mismatched too. We did have the Generator rebuilt and put on a new belt. The car comes with the Original Fan belt (haha) A true un restored AZ WAGON with mild surface rust on the body and most areas, solid frame with only a few dents to worry about and NO previous bondo repairs. Originally white with blue inlay exterior with a Dk grey / pale grey interior. This car was parked years ago and only started a few times a yr. Comes with original keys too. Chrome and stainless Trim still in great shape with NO pitting making restoration less $. Interior: Worn but original and shows its age from the AZ heat. Thanks to the GM Rubber floormats the Lower floorboards did get rust and will need to be replaced. The high parts of the floors only got mild surface rust, as the same with the middle seat area. Would be an realitive easy restoration. Drive around as is or restore it to its original glory, or somewhere in between. Car is super solid, doors etc all close well and tight for their age What you will see in the pics below is: Ive been all over and Under the car, and have pics to below to prove our claims. Check out ALL the pics below and you can see for yourself. ORIGINAL Paint and Interior Some of the glass is damaged, think mostly the Flat stuff. Obviously this is not a restored car. Most of these cars were run into the ground and really USED up as you might expect them to be. This car flew under the wire and is stock as a rock. They are only original ONCE. Anyone can throw shiney paint and a bunch of off the shelf aftermarket parts on a car and say its "restored" But the value for your $ doesnt make worth buying. Early Muscle cars like this restored back to the way it came off the showroom, have higher Values hands down. A VERY RARE AND HARD TO FIND 50s 9 p Wagon Car An ERA alot of us remember like it was just yesterday. We really try to have realistic prices on all of our auctions and want to sell cars, not sit on them for another year. LOTS OF PICS, it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient. You dont buy cars like this to be the fastest on your block You buy cars like this because they remind you of your youth and how much fun you had growing up and cruising was your main priority. This is a great car to restore 100% and would do so nicely. It is an example of a era long gone. Remember: they arent making anymore :) Built in CA, and has been in Az its whole life. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain. The more you go over this car, the cooler it gets ! Check out All the pics and then look for more info AFTER the pics etc. There are over 100, make sure you use the schroll bar on the side to see them all. Original paint, but no bondo ! If this car had new tires & waterpump, recover the ft seats, it could be a daily driver. Easily the best way to buy a car long distance, this is the 50s wagon you want ! There you have it, probably The BEST represented 1 Wagon on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad. If you treat yourself to buying one of our cars, youll never buy a bucket again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Operational for easy loading and unloading if you have it shipped via truck. Clear AZ TITLE in hand.
