Vehicle Detail

1995 993 Carrera (rear wheel drive). Guards Red over Grey leather interior. Car was purchased circa 2006 via eBay auction from a major Porsche dealer in Houston, TX. I am the second owner and took the car over with 32,000 miles. The car has been well stored, driven, and maintained since then and now shows 48,888 miles on the odometer. Almost all miles have been highway driven and the car has been remarkably reliable, comfortable on the long drive (Tucson - San Diego), and has been my favorite 911 thus far. This car is one of the last of the air cooled 911's and avoids the issues known to exist with early (93-94) 993's and was not given the VarioRam/VarioCam that turned out to be less than reliable on the last two 993 model years (96-97) before Porsche switched to liquid cooled engines. The engine, clutch, and 6-speed transmission work beautifully and provide the pinnacle of the Porsche driving experience. Brakes have all been re-worked at Redline Service in Tucson including new discs, ceramic pads, master cylinder, and racing fluid. Seats have been covered with lambwool and are practically like new (covers come with car if new owner is interested). Car has been garage kept, and there is also a California Car Cover free to the new owner if interested. Everything works; sunroof, windows, mirrors, instruments/gages, clock, interior/exterior lights, blinkers, etc. Mechanically and electrically defect free. So what's wrong. There is a small scratch (size of a quarter) on the right rear bumper courtesy of the wife and two light scratches in the driver's door courtesy of the son, both garage incidents. Two of the panels in the lower front air dam show a minor mis-alignment and the horn is starting to stick a bit. My mechanic tells me there are grommets behind the steering pad that wear out and can be replenished with a quick squirt of silicon sealant. I can not over-emphasize the tremendous general condition of the car. All four tires are Goodyear Eagle F1's with less than 10,000 miles. The engine is tight and spools up freely. Body panels are all straight and the doors close with just the right Teutonic clap. A great driver that carves mountain roads and can run all day. Feel free to email me throughout the auction with questions or concerns. I'm always willing to chat about my car and can send additional pictures of whatever you'd like to see. So now it's down to brass tacks. If we can come to an agreement on the car and the price, I'm sure we can come to a mutually agreeable transition in ownership. In the past I've met with the new owner for a first-hand look and drive, then it's off to my bank to arrange a wire transfer of funds, and we typically continue to look over and drive the car for an hour or so until the bank confirms receipt of funds. At that point it's signatures on the title and away you go. I'm also happy to meet with the transportation company of your choosing to drop off the car after payments are handled. Good luck.On Apr-13-11 at 17:31:14 PDT, seller added the following information:
