Vehicle Detail
For Sale – 1954 Austin Healey 100/4 BN1 Race Car – Right Hand Drive This car sustained extensive damage to the front left corner while racing at Road America. The frame rails suffered significant damage ahead of the firewall. Replacement frame components are available from Jule, Kilmartin, and Denis Welch to name a few. I am certain there are other suppliers also. This car could be repaired using replacement frame components and some body work. The left front wing is pretty badly damaged. The history on the car is that it started life as a street left hand drive US spec car. The car was then converted to right-hand drive and brought up to racing specs by Denis Welch Motorsport to be raced in Europe in the late 1990’s/early 2000’s. Raced at such tracks as Spa & LeMans. Has FIA papers, but no title. We then bought it in 2007 to vintage race in the States, as we wanted a right-hand drive Austin Healey racecar. Raced in the US at Lime Rock, VIR, Road America, Summit Point + NJMP. Car can roll. Buyer must make all arrangements for pick up. Car is currently sitting in our garage in Wayne, PA. Payment must be in the form of a certified check within 7 days after end of auction. This clutch is setup to work with the throwout bearing which is installed on the gearbox that is also being offered. This engine makes 150 HP at the rear wheels on the dyno.On Apr-11-11 at 16:22:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I may have been mistaken when discussing the gearbox. There is a new Sebring gear cluster (changed out from a TULIP ratio) and many new other DWR parts, but I am not sure about the material used in the new syncros (brass, bronze, or steel). Sorry....
