This auction is for a 1978 280sl EURO. 4 SPEED Light and fun to drive. Smooth, high reving 6 cylnder double overhead cam engine. Manual windows, euro bumpers and lights. Tight steering and firm shocks. Strong clutch and transmission. The car was imported to Texas by the origanal owner where I found it. Beautiful butter yellow paint, no rust issues at all. Very straight body. 4 new tires. No leaks. All lights work as does the heater and Blaupunt radio. (antenna is sticky going up and down) Reccarro seats installed by dealer in Germany (expensive) - but they should be recovered. Carpet all decent. No rust in spare tire locaton under trunk. No rust anywhere. Original soft top has a small hole and the plastic is cracked. Lower front grill on right side is cracked behind the fog lights. Hard top is near perfect. Well serviced and fit to drive anywhere. Just drove it 1000 miles with no problems. Mileage in the high 20's and 1 quart of oil on that trip. A draft horse kicked me in the knee breaking my leg and so the 280 looks like its going to pay bills or I would keep it as a fun, beautifully made roadster!
