For sale: 1993 VW Eurovan, Transporter T4 1,9 Turbo diesel This is the exact copy of the european one, where (in Europe) this is the most popular van. Yes, we have them in Europe: 1,9D and 1,9TD eurovan (26-30mpg) my personal best was 36mpg :). This used to be a gas van but I converted into diesel, I did it for fun. 1; I'm a mechanic from Europe and I'm working on VW in my entire life. 2; I'm not planning to educate on how You should swap engines, so please don't ask. Thanks. I'm a very helpful guy, but the whole swap is pretty difficult. The buyer will have the complete paper work. 3; You can buy basically all parts here in USA ( very cheap ),but what You can not buy here are the engine mount,brackets, some hardwares those actually won't ever go bad, but You will need it if you want it to be perfect, and they are already installed. The swap was very detailed, meaning: the glowplug relay was installed ( not some push button ), power steering is working, engine tachometer is working, cold start cable (original VW ) etc... Yes I did change the 5th gear so you will have a nice tall final gear. The body has 200k miles, no rust, has some ding but nothing major. Engine has 50k miles ( I did buy factory brand new long block !!! ) I checked the van all around and what I thougt needed to be replaced I did replace before selling. Rebuild: -all cv joint ( inner, outer, both side)!! NEW: -turbocharger -timing belt -serpentine belt -v belt -starter -clutch -clutch Release/Throwout Bearing -clutch slave cylinder -lower ball joints (both side) -upper ball joints (both side) -battery -all fluid!! brake, cooling, tranny, steering etc -filters The van drives how it should drive, no strange noise, no smoke etc. All tires are ok. AC completly removed. NO WAY TO REINSTALL it!!! Undercoating work was done after I did buy this van, 3 years ago. I did never drive on the snow! It was always parked on my friends farm during the winter. This van (at this point) costs me a lot ( just parts ) + million and million hours!! This includes 5000 miles warranty!!! Just think about it!!! So far I do not know anybody who has a 1.9TD Eurovan, You can be the first!!! By the way to install the used vegetable oil kit is easy.
