Vehicle Detail
1996 EDDIE BAUER FORD BRONCO This is the last year of the rugged and handsome Ford Bronco. The Ford Bronco ran from 1966-1996. This 2 owner Bronco is in almost excellent condition. I believe that no used card can be in excellent condition. But I do believe that this one is as close to excellent condition as can be. Especially for a 15 year old SUV. With only 2 owners, this bronco has been well cared for and it shows. I have personally driven several Bronco's and this one is definitely the smoothest running I've ever driven. This Bronco is seamless. No shakes, no surges, no shimmies, no hard shifts or starts, no funny noises, no knocks or creeks, no clangs, no funny smells or sounds, and certainly no CEL (check engine lights), etc. Blindfold yourself and put this beside a Singer and you'd be hard pressed to pick which one is the sewing machine. I'm exaggerating of course, but I'm trying to convey just how quiet and well maintained this one is. The beauty of owning a Bronco in this condition, is that it will never loose its value if continued to be cared for as it is now. As you know, they don't make them anymore. In another 10 years this will become a classic and the value will only continue to rise. This Bronco has never been modified whatsoever and will pass emissions with flying colors at any time, in any state. PERIOD! ENGINE & DRIVETRAIN This Bronco is equipped with an EFI (5.8L) 351 Windsor with only 86K miles. It has the trailer towing package with dual shock front end, oil cooler, and 3.55 gears. The oil has been recently changed. This Bronco also sports new brakes. The E4OD (Electronic 4 spd Overdrive) automatic transmission shifts flawlessly. The push button (Electronic Borg Warner 1356 Transfer Case) 4wd works flawlessly. There are no surprises with this drivetrain. There are no leaks of any kind. No burning of any fluids. As said previously, this thing runs and drives absolutely wonderfully. 1996 is the only year the Bronco with the 5.8 received MAF (Mass Air Computer/Air/Fuel System). This is the same system the fox body mustang utilizes. 1996 is also the only year the Bronco was upgraded to OBD-II (On Board Diagnostics) which troubleshoots problems easier, faster, and more accurately than its predecessor...OBD-I. This Bronco tracts straight down the road with no pulling to either side. I would not hesitate driving it from Georgia to Alaska! And then back! This Bronco is completely stock and has never been modified with the exception of some light window tinting. INTERIOR The factory leather is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, marks, etc. The Eddie Bauer seats both front and rear have never been recovered or repaired. This Bronco even retains the factory Eddie Bauer embroidered floor mats and key chain. This Bronco has never carried children, pets, or a smoker at any time so rest assure its cleaner than clean. The Eddie Bauer wood trim is not faded, cracked, or broken. The dash pad is also in amazing shape with no cracks. There are no stains, rips, tears, or marks in the carpet. Carpet is extremely clean. This was definitely not used off road or for work but the pics showcase that easily. If you know Bronco's, then you know how weak the armrests are on the bucket seats. I'm pleased to say the armrests are not broken and the leather is not cracked. Simply put, the condition of this Bronco is as if it rolled of the showroom floor. All power windows function perfectly including the rear. I would put all three windows in this Bronco in a "race to the top" with a new 2011 Mercedes, they're so fast. The back window functions with both the switch on the dash as well as the key access on the tailgate. This Bronco also retains its factory radio and speakers. Its equipped with both driver and passenger lighted vanity mirrors. Also equipped on the Bronco is the coveted temperature and compass overhead console. These consoles are rare and are only exclusive to the late Eddie Bauer model Bronco's. The A/C does blow hard and cold. We cannot live without A/C in the south so rest assure its in tip-top shape. The heat blows hard and hot. The heater however has lived an easy life! The defrost both front and on the rear window function properly. The windows have some light tinting as well as a tinted windshield strip. This Bronco is also equipped with keyless entry. EXTERIOR Exterior condition of this Bronco is great. Its almost flawless. As with any 15 year old car, there will be a few blemishes. Most would consider the exterior of this Bronco a 10 out of 10. But I'm very particular with my vehicles. The exterior has just a few minor flaws. They are pictured last. 1.) The factory upper Eddie Bauer pin-stripping is faded. 2.) The lower Eddie Bauer pin-stripping has a small scratch on the rear passenger quarter panel. 3.) There is some "dulling" of the paint on top of the tailgate. This is nothing more than the Southern Sun doing what is does best. This is the only area where this has occurred(no "dulling" on the hood or roof). 4.) There is also a small imperfection on the rear passenger quarter panel. They seem to be extremely light dings. It doesn't show up in pictures and is almost undetected by the naked eye but I like to exaggerate imperfections so as to not hide anything. Chances are, this Bronco was just another victim to a WalMart shopping cart. These blemishes would be hard to find if not pointed out. That's it for the imperfections of this Bronco! Most importantly however, there is no trace of rust on this southern truck. Rust are major issues on these SUV's. The problem areas being the wheel wells and the lower portion of the tailgate. As you can see in the pictures, there is not even a hint of rust. Ford calls this beautiful color on this Bronco, Pacific Sea-Foam Green. As you can see by the pics, it shines brilliantly in and out of the sunlight. Its very hard to keep an original 15 year old single stage paint job in this condition. This fact just further illustrates how well cared for this iconic vehicle really is. This Bronco has been stored indoors its entire life. It still retains its original Eddie Bauer embroidered tire cover. These are also extremely rare. Due to the material, these covers often are weathered beyond point of recognition. The condition of this cover further reiterates this Bronco has NOT been exposed to the elements. The chrome on the grill, headlight trims, mirrors, wheel wells, and bumpers still shine like they did in 1996. There are no dents/dings in any of them. All lights are not faded, "yellowed", scratched, or cracked and all function as they should. The hard top of this Bronco has never been removed. The condition of the factory Eddie Bauer running boards are also a rarity on this Bronco. These factory steps are made of fiberglass and are easy to damage with simple everyday driving. As you can see, the ones on this Bronco are in exquisite shape. There are no marks, scratches, or dents. They have never been removed from this Bronco. As you can imagine, Ford no longer carries these so if you were to happen to find these in this shape, you'd be looking at spending $250 or more for them based on their scarcity. Underneath this Bronco is as dry as any desert in Arizona or Nevada. The frame is clean and free of any rust. The body mount bushings as well as any other bushings are not cracked or dry rotted. The radius arm bushings have both been replaced with polyurethane bushings. These are common bushings on Bronco's to fatigue over time due to the stress of the TTB (Twin Traction Beam Dana 44 front axle). The parts are cheap but the labor however, is not. The 8.8 rearend is flawless with no whines, grinds, or noises of any kinds. This Bronco also has a brand new set of Pathfinder Trail A/P 31x10.50x15 tires. They have less than 1k miles on them. The wheels still shine remarkably well after 15 years. They have no pitting, marks, or curb rash. The full size spare has never been used. There is a "HiddenHitch" trailer hitch installed on this Bronco with the 7 pin connection although it looks as though it has never been used. I have stated this Bronco's condition to the best of my ability. It is in remarkable shape and will bring many many years of loyal service to its new owner. SHIPPING/PICK UP Shipping will be sole responsibility of the winning bidder both logistically and financially. I will however, make as many concessions as possible to help the winning bidder with drop off. You are more than welcome to fly into the Atlanta Airport (Hartsfield-Jackson) and drive home. I'm only an hour and 15 minutes away from the airport. SMALL PRINT As with any auction there are a few disclosures that I must cover. Despite the uncanny condition of this Bronco, please bear in mind, it is still a USED 15 year old vehicle. There is no warranty written or implied. Please, if you do not seriously want or don't have the funds to purchase this vehicle....dont bid! Its just that simple. I take eBay feedback seriously. This is my third Bronco that I've sold on eBay and I stand behind my 100% feedback. I will contact eBay with any non-paying bidders and leave negative feedback. This is what I would feel comfortable accepting if the auction ended early. My reserve is the same if not lower than similar Bronco's on eBay with like mileage, condition, and number of owners. If you feel as though this Bronco is priced to high, your option is to not bid. Although this is not a "no reserve" auction, let me assure you....this Bronco will sell!
