Vehicle Detail
1957 Ford Fairlane Skyliner Retractable Hardtop Convertible Very nice example of a garage kept automobile that appears to have 63,000 original miles! Previous owner enjoy auto from 1960 to 2010.The original 292 cubic inch engine runs very quietly. The automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes work well. Retractable Hardtop works well for it's age. It does "struggle" at times. I am not familiar with the Retractable Hardtop operation. My guess is the solenoid valves(?) need adjusted for a smoother operation. I have two Retractable Hardtop shop manuals that will be included. Chrome and trim are in decent shape, I would rate it as good, driver quality. Wide, whitewall tires appear to be in like new condition. Original hubcaps are included with purchase of auto. Original interior is in very good shape for it's age. Carpeting appears original but showing signs of wear. New, factory style carpeting is included with matching floor mats. Auto was painted approx. 7 years ago. Nice two tone white and red paint job with a couple of minor chips/imperfections. Skyliner drives well on the highway. Body and frame appear to be good condition. The car is equipped with the original 292 cu.inch engine, 2 barrel carb. with single exhaust, and original automatic transmission.Rear end differential seal has a slight leak. Original color : Colonial White ,Equipped with original Town and Country radio, Interior appears to be the original Air Weave material, Spare tire with correct wheel included, Jack and lug wrench included I have tried my best to describe the 1957 Skyliner to the best of my ability. I may have missed something, so ask any questions that may not have been addressed. Auto has a clear Pennsylvania title. We RESERVE the right to end auction early due to the auto being offered for sale locally. The Fine Print: The 1957 Ford Skyliner is being offered in "as is" condition with no warranty expressed or implied. You are welcome to inspect the car prior to bidding; in fact I recommend you inspect or ask questions prior to bidding. I require a $1000 non-refundable deposit preferably by PayPal within 48 hours of end of auction. The balance is due within 7 days of the auction end date. The car must be picked up within 10 days of the auction end. A $20.00 storage fee per day will be charged beyond the 10 day period unless prior arrangements have been made.
