THIS IS A 1956 CHEVY 2 DOOR HARDTOP PROJECT CAR. FROM WHAT I CAN SEE THIS LOOKS TO BE A PRETTY COMPLETE AND SOLID PROJECT BUT NEEDING TOTAL RESTORATION. THERE IS NO MOTOR OR TRANS IN THE CAR SO IT WILL HAVE TO BE TRAILERED. THE BODY FROM WHAT I CAN TELL LOOKS TO BE PRETTY SOLID THE TOP OF THE PASSANGER SIDE FENDER WILL NEED A PATCH ABOVE THE HEAD LIGHT AND THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT FENDER IS GOOD, THE BOTTOM OF BOTH FENDERS ARE VERY USABLE SOMEONE PUT IN A SMALL PATCH AND IT JUST NEEDS THE FINAL BODY WORK THE WELDING IS DONE. THE ROCKERS AND THE QUARTERS LOOK GOOD AND USABLE WITH JUST NORMAL BODY WORK TO BE DONE DURING THE RESTORATION. THE FLOORS ON THE DRIVER SIDE LOOK REAL SOLID, THE FRONT AND REAR FLOOR ON THE PASSANGER SIDE AT SOME POINT SOMEONE PATCHED WITH SHEET METAL. IT LOOKS AS IF THEY DID A REAL GOOD JOB AND FITTED AND SEALED THEM UP REAL GOOD. IF YOU ARE WANTING A NICE DRIVER I WOULD JUST LEAVE THEM AS YOU WILL NEVER SEE WHEN THE CARPET IS IN, BUT IF YOU WANT A PERFECT SHOW CAR IT SHOULD HAVE PARTIAL FLOOR PATCH PANS INSTALED??? THE TRUNK AND SPARE TIRE HOLDER IS REAL SOLID AND NICE AND DOESN'T NEED ANY PATCH WORK, EVEN THE REAR SECTION WHERE THE REAR SHOCKS BOLT TO THE FLOOR IS REAL SOLID AND NICE. AT SOME POINT SOMEONE WELDED IN SOME AFTERMARKET MOTOR MOUNTS AND CUT A SMALL HOLE IN THE FRAME TO CLEAR A LARGER FUEL PUMP AND WELDED IN A REAR TRANS MOUNT AND INSTALLED A 10 BOLT CHEVELLE REAR END. THE STORY I WAS TOLD IS THAT AT SOME POINT IN THE PAST THIS CAR WAS DRAG RACED??? THEY WELDED IN MOTOR MOUNTS AND TRANS CROSS MEMBER IS NO BIG DEAL IF YOU DIDN'T WANT TO USE THAT SETUP IT CAN EASILY BE CUT OFF AND GROUND SMOOTH AND THE SMALL HOLE (ABOUT 3" DIAMITER) CAN BE EASILLY PATCHED IN) AND I WOULD PERSONALY LEAVE THE 10 BOLT IN THE CAR AS MY DAD TELLS ME THAT WITH ANY HORSEPOWER MUCH MORE THAN STOCK YOU WILL BE BREAKING STOCK REARENDS AS HE BROKE MANY IN THE 60'S AND 70'S IN HIS NOMAD, AND THE 10 BOLT IS A MUCH BETTER AND STRONGER REAREND. I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON 56'S BUT I WAS TOLD FROM THE GUY THAT I GOT THE CAR FROM THAT ALL THE TRIM IS THERE??? THE TRUNK IS FULL OF TRIM AND I LAID IT ALL OUT AND TOOK PICTURES OF ALL OF IT. IT COMES WITH A NEW WINDSHIELD GASKET BUT THERE IN NO WINDSHIELD. I HAVE THE FRONT BUMPER AND SPLASH PAN ALSO. THE FRONT SEAT AND BACK OF BACK SEAT IS IN THE CAR BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE BOTTOM OF THE BACK SEAT. AND I HAVE A CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE. IN MY OPINION THIS IS A SOLID 56 HARDTOP PROJECT WORTH RESTORING AS THESE CARS BRING $65,000-$75,000 DONE AND SHOULDN'T BE A TOUGH ONE TO DO, BUT IT DOES NEED TOTAL RESTORATION.
