1974 Honda MT 250 Elsinore in Very Good Condition. Clean Bike, Well Maintained, New Wiseco Piston & Rings. New Crank Seal. New roller chain and sprockets. Runs Excellent. Tires in Very Good Shape. Ready for the Riding Season. Will need head light switch. Brake Light Works. Brakes Very Good. A Super Nice Bike for the Money. New Air Filter and Clutch. "Jolly Roger" Paint Job. New Frame Paint. New Fender Paint. Seat Excellent. No Mirrors or Turn Signals. New Ignition Points. Oil Injection works like its suppose to. Just over 5700 miles. Tach does not work but is all there. Speedometer works fine. Thank You for Looking. New 48 Tooth rear sprocket (44 came standard in 1974). Expansion Chamber is original and has been cleaned, the spark arrester has been removed and a 6" Mid Range Stinger installed. Bike is still as quiet as it was with the spark arrester, Performance has increased. Additional Info: I stripped the bike down and repainted the Frame, Repainted the Fenders, Repainted the Gas Tank with Rust Preventer Primer (Black) Then Acrylic Orange Then Acrylic Clear Coat, New Speedometer Cable, New Gas Lines, New Carb Float, New Carb Needle and Seat, New Carb Gasket, New Piston and Rings and Wrist Pin, New Head Gasket, New Base Gasket, New Crank Seal, New Crank Cover Gaskets, High (2,000 Degree F) Black Paint on Engine and Exhaust System, New Tire Tubes, New Front Sprocket (14) New Rear Sprocket (48), New Roller Chain, All other parts (nuts, bolts, misc. parts) Wire Wheeled and repainted or oiled. Muffler cut open and inspected and cleaned and rewelded and painted, New Stinger (6") Mid Range, Battery is in Excellent Condition. ATTENTION: Tach does not work correctly (it sticks from time to time) but is all there Original, Head Lights / Horn Switch needs to be rebuilt or replaced (myself I would repair it since there is nothing broke or missing, I did not get to it yet) The Brake Light works like it is suppose to. There are NO Mirrors or TURN Signals. The "Jolly Roger" was expensive and difficult to put on but looks real good, and is protected by Acrylic Clear Coats. Bike Has CLEAR Road Title (Michigan), New Clutch Disk and Plates are installed and adjusted. Engine Runs Like New because it pretty much is. There is 8 miles on the engine. It was rebuilt by HCS Motocross shop in Vassar, MI. January 2011. There is NO Damage to the Engine (cooling fins, cases ect.) Transmission is tight and fast (These are one down and four up). New Air Filter Oiled Foam. The restore on this bike took 8 months so far. It can be ridden now but will need that headlight switch taken care of. Kick starts easy for most people has 9 to 1 compression ratio and starts with the choke on and NO Throttle. Do Not Crack the Throttle Open just kick it and it will idle and warm up then you are ready to go. Uses Mid-Grade Gasoline with a good grade two stroke oil in the injection tank. (You MUST keep the foam air filter cleaned and ALWAYS oiled or it will suck sand and sand scratch the brand new piston thats in it.) Not a Bike Show Piece but looks pretty darn nice and rides real good (your feet will touch the ground flat on this one and the seat will let your butt take it for several hours at a time).
