Vehicle Detail
82 Honda cm 450 A. This is a automatic, done to resemble the old school dirt trackers/cafe racers. Or put the original parts back on for a classic look. (Have all the original parts, in good shape) 26700 miles, runs super. Very well maintained. New chain, battery, tube less tires front and rear, valves adjusted, oil/filter changed regularly, new plugs. No leaks. Installed: bar end mirror, heat wrap on exhaust, shorty exhaust, cross bar style handle bars, removed generic automatic shift light, and installed tac with neutral light. (Tac is for looks only, original had N-1-2 display, no tac) Intalled a much smaller brake light, shortened rear turn signals by 6 inches. Comes with 2 seats. One factory seat, super shape, minus small tear at rear end, from previous sissy bar. top and sides in excellent shape, near new. 2nd seat is a bump stop seat for a cafe/dirt tracker look, that is ok. I made it from a stock seat base. It needs a strap across it to tighten it up. Included in sale, are the original mirrors, seat, seat trim rail, tail lamp, crash bars, handle bars, and mufflers. all in above above average shape. the chrome under the heat tape was in really good condition, added tape for looks only. everything on the bike works, (minus tac as desribed above by design.) chrome is above good condition. No leaks. Bought the bike four or five years ago for my sons to ride with me. One of the pictures is my son on the bike on the blue ridge parkway in North Carolina, July 2010. Bike has the standard mirrors and seat, on it, and you can see the green gas tank, and a sign in the backround indicating a overlook on the parkway, by name.A 2,000 mile trip, ZERO PROBLEMS. Selling this bike because, the boys live out of state now, and I have three other bikes, xs 400 cafe, and a xs 650 cafe, anfd a fz6, all which I plan to move soon. For anyone unfamilar with the automatic400/450, it was made for about four years by honda. No clutch to engage. It has a lo and high gear, shifted with LH foot. You can pull up to a traffic light in first gear, stay in gear, give it gas and go. No clutch, no neutral shifting unless you want. Instead of a clutch lever, there is a parking brake. So it looks like a regular motorcycle. (Note: the fairing pictured in one of the photo's does not come with the bike) DONT BID UNLESS YOU PLAN TO PURCHASE, AS I WILL LEAVE NEGITIVE FEEDBACK. THAT IS WHY I HAVE ONE NEGITIVE FEEDBACK. A GUY HIT THE "BUY IT NOW" AND THEN BACKED OUT. CAUGHT HIM IN SEVERAL LIES. WHEN I TOLD HIM I WAS GOING TO LEAVE NEGITIVE FEEDBACK, HE SAID, IF YOU DO, I WILL LEAVE NEGITIVE FEEDBACK FOR YOU ALSO. (A COMMON TACTIC USED TO BULLY PEOPLE INTO NOT LEAVING PROPER FEEDBACK AND WARN FELLOW EBAYERS) ***PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK THE DATE OF MY INITIAL NEGITIVE FEEDBACK ON THE 22nd, TO THE BUYER, AND THEN NOTICE THE DATE OF THE FEEDBACK LEFT BY THE BUYER TO ME ON THE 25TH. ***** MEANING THE GUY WAS TRYING TO GET ME FOR LEAVING NEGITIVE FEEDBACK.I then left my reply to his negitive feedback on the 26th. Make sure to click on the buyers name and go to that transaction to get the date I listed my initial feeback as proof. Tried to get it removed but the listing number, was to old for the automated service from ebay, before this listing. TITLE WAS GOOD, CAR SOLD WITHIN A FEW DAYS, A GUY CAME ALL THE WAY FROM WISONSIN TO INDIANA TO GET IT. Very Happy, Zero problems. Just wanted to fully explain ALL MY OTHER FEEDBACK IS SUPER!!!!! feel free to email any questions. UPDATE!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the questions, and interest/views. just remembered you can post questions, sorry. 1. the bike is not loud,as it has a crossover exhaust pipe that runs underneath, (from factory, see photo of bottom of motor) which also shows no oil leaks. 2. Fenders come with the bike, showed a street tracker look with them off, several other pics with fenders show condition of fenders, and how it looks in a more original condition. 3. Pic also shows the end of the frame under the seat, where one could easily mount a bracket and put a brake light, if one wanted to remove the rear assembly, as the frame has two holes there already. easy to do. 4. I planned to put all the original parts back on and take a pic but didnt have the time, 5. Again, everything on the bike works correctly, including head light, turn signals, horn, brake lights. 6. I also did not show a pic with the seat rail on. the rail is shown in a pic of all the original parts. It attaches to the back of the seat and wraps around the rear/top of seat. looks really cool/old school. 7. When my son and I rode it last summer on that 2000 mile trip, we were on the interstate one day out. one day back, riding 70-80 mph, ALL DAY, not to mention 3 days of back road riding, once there at the smokey mountains, again, it ran super, zero problems of any type. none. buy it and ride it home to california or wherever If you want, email your phone numbers to me and I will call you. thanks again 8. I also have the original owners manual On Apr-07-11 at 01:47:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add that the motorcycle, was on consignment at a local dealership for almost two weeks until today when I brought it home. The reason I mention this is because it proves two things. 1. they thought the bike was nice enough to take in, and they priced it high. (they turn bikes away, if they think its in poor shape, or is priced to high) 2. This motorcycle dealership, (suzuki, triumph, aprillia, canam,) would not take a motorcycle, that is questionable. This should help some feel more comfortable about the transaction/bike. I did ride it home today, as I want to insure all is ok for end of auction. In other words, I didnt want it to get accidentally scratched at the dealership, or something. So its ready to go, home and safe. ADDITIONALLY THE RESERVE IS WAAAAAAAY BELOW WHAT THE DEALERSHIP WAS ASKING, AND HONESTLY I WOULD LET IT GO FOR A LOT LESS. AGAIN, I HAVE FOUR BIKES, AND THREE HAVE TO GO.On Apr-08-11 at 01:26:34 PDT, seller added the following information: The reserve price is $1,000. The bike shop had it listed at $1,895. On Apr-08-11 at 01:31:09 PDT, seller added the following information: additionally, there are 55 people who are watching this auction, (just so you'll know)On Apr-09-11 at 21:51:27 PDT, seller added the following information: 69 watchers, so...... I lowered the reserve to 660. Next bid is a owner. I just looked at flat screens with the wife, and working on my xs400 cafe, which goes next, which will still leave me with two more bikes...ahhhh
