Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a used Chevrolet pickup truck. I bought this several months ago for a friend to use while he saved his money to buy something newer. It runs and drives good, but is nothing fancy! It should be cheap to buy, but if you are looking for fancy, you had better look elsewhere! The truck is a 1/2 ton and it has an extended cab with a rear bench seat. There are not rear doors to the extended cab part, but the front seats slide way forward and fold down so you can get in the back. The truck has a 5.7 liter V-8 gasoline engine. The engine has been very reliable with no problems. It starts and runs good and the oil stays up like it should. The transmission is an automatic and it also works like it should. For its age and miles, the truck drives good down the road. All the gauges in the cab work and the odometer shows 256890 miles. I bet they are correct. All the glass is good in the truck and the windows and doors work fine. The rear seat is in good condition, but the drivers seat has a "hiney" hole large enough to lose a collie dog in. Not only did they use a seat cover to cover it, they also had to add a pillow to get it to where you can sit in it normally! The other added bonus of the seat cover is that it is Zebra striped for an added nice touch. Once again, not very fancy! The truck has A/C but it does not blow cold and even on heat or defrost, the fan does not seem to turn all the way up. Once again, not very fancy! The outside of the truck is not much as you can see in the photos. The paint peeled in a weird way and some brain surgeon "touched" it up with some cheap rattle can paint - once again, it is not very fancy! The tailgate stays shut, but the latch does not work to let it down. There is rust spots on the body and some dings and dents as you can see - once again, not very fancy! The truck was last inspected in the fall of 2010 and it passed fine. All the outside lights and things work. It had a new battery installed last year and it holds a charge good. The tires are mismatched brands - once agin, not very fancy! But they all hold air fine. The truck has a sticker on the door that reads that it has a GVWR of 6200 pounds with a front axle rating of 3600 pounds and a rear rating of 3686 pounds. The truck has a title that on the front reads that it is a former salvage vehicle. Of course I did not know this when I bought it, but I am honest so I want you to know it before you buy it. I have no idea why it has a former salvage title, but it does so I wanted you to know. It does not appear to have been in some big accident or anything. We wondered if because of the weird way the paint peeled if that was why some insurance company may have salvaged it. I have no way of knowing. Once again, not very fancy! This truck runs and drives good. It has been a reliable daily driver for the last few months and I see no reason it will not continue to do so. It is old and has lots of miles, so I am selling it as-is with no reserve. The specs on the truck reads that it weighs 3717 pounds at the curb so I am starting it out at what I can get for it for scrap value, which is what I am going to do if no one buys it. High bidder above that gets it. DO NOT BUY THIS AND EXPECT TO TAKE YOUR WIFE OUT TO DINNER IN IT! Once again, not very fancy! Around here we call this speed of truck one of the following, you take your pick: 1. Beater 2. Work truck 3. Hooptie 4. Dog 5. Cheap ride 6. Fine ride They all mean the same thing; runs and drives fine but not much to look at. Once again, not very fancy! I have a local trucking company that I highly recommend that you call if you need a quote on having larger items like machinery and large trucks hauled to you. They are DAB Transport and their phone number is: (816)230-4135. They are located in Odessa, Missouri, and are just all around good folks to deal with. They are equipped to deal with about anything you need hauled, including tall bucket trucks and heavy machinery. I am located 100 miles West of the St. Louis airport, 10 miles off Interstate 70 at the Kingdom City exit #148 in Fulton, Mo, 65251. If you buy a vehicle from me and want to drive it home, there is a nice shuttle service that runs between the Kansas City (KCI) airport and the St. Louis (STL) airport. It is called: MO-X. They make a stop at my exit on I-70 at a McDonalds restaurant to pick up and drop off passengers. I can meet you in Kingdom City with your vehicle purchase so you can drive it home. There is also a local license bureau where you can buy a one way trip permit temporary tag if you want one. PAYMENT AND AUCTION REQUIREMENTS Do not ask me to sell it early, or take less than the starting price. I will not end the auction for a local sale either. I can load it onto anything that you send to pick it up. Delivery for an additional fee is a possibility within 250 miles of Fulton, Mo, 65251. E-mail me for a quote. I have a neighbor kid that helps me on the farm that will deliver stuff sometimes. I require payment in full within one week of auctions end. Once it is paid for, there is no hurry for you to pick it up - take six months if need be! If you don't come get it after six months have passed since the end of the auction, it will be resold, and my wife gets the proceeds. If you have a legitimate reason why you need to wait longer than six months to pick up your purchase, contact me and we will work something out. If you have any questions, you can e-mail or call me at (573) 219-6611. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions! LOCAL PICK UP I am a cattle farmer here in Mid-Missouri, so I am flexible about when you want to come and get items you have purchased from me, but I try and keep a schedule for my families benefit. I ask that you come between 9:00 in the morning and 4:00 at night. I am not available on Sundays whatsoever - that is God and family day, so don't ask! Just because I am a farmer does not mean that I am here everyday, I travel around to auctions and surplus sales and am gone several times a week. So don't do like some folks have in the past and drive 800 miles to get here and find out I am gone. You must contact me before you just show up! My granny always said that showing up unannounced was rude - you have to give people notice so they can get presentable. CONTACT ME If you have any questions about this item, or about delivery or shipping, you can call me or email me. Don't be shy! The only stupid question is the one you are afraid to ask. I prefer email as it lets me answer questions at night when I am not busy and it gives me time to find the right answer to your questions. I also run tractors and skid loaders here on the farm and a lot of times I do not hear my phone. I also live in a rural area and in a lot of places I do not get phone service. One of the places I do not get good coverage is in my shop! So if you can't get me on the phone, try back later or better yet, send me an email and I will get back with you. You can send me an email through ebay or you can send it to me directly to: olivet@ktis.net My cell phone number is: (573)219-6611 Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
