1968 DODGE CORONET CONVERTIBLE You are bidding on a 1968 Dodge Coronet convertible. It is NOT an "R/T". It has a rebuilt 440 motor and a rebuilt 727 automatic transmission. Neither the engine nor the transmission is original to the car (i.e., the numbers don't match). The car was a Georgia car and almost rust free before being reconditioned. The frame and body are in good shape. The floor pans were/are not rusted and the trunk is in great shape. It is hard to find a Mopar convertible this solid. The car has the following new items: interior carpet front windshield weatherstripping window fuzzies rocker panels dash pad convertible top (the correct material and pattern) trunk mat The car runs great, but as with any 40 year old car there are things that are not showroom perfect. If you want a showroom perfect 40 year old car it will cost you $100,000. The paint on this car has some blemishes, dings and a few scratches...but that's okay. This is a "driver" car. If I were keeping the car I would fix the radio and the wiper washer motor, replace the bushings and shocks, replace the left front magnum wheel (it has some paint or something else on it that messed up the finish) and do a brake job. The rebuild was done about 3 years ago but it doesn't look like it. The car is clean and good looking. You'll get a ton of attention. AS IS.
