We just picked up a new car, so our good old 2000 Ford Escort must go! This vehicle has been a great commuter for the last 9 years that we've owned it. It was still doing a daily 60 mile round trip commute until we picked up our new ride last Saturday. It's been around, so it's not perfect, but it's still reliable transportation, getting 32 MPG consistently on the highway. We just had the timing belt and water pump replaced in December, the tires have some decent life left in them, and the brakes feel good. The alternator is about three years old. The steering and suspension feel solid. There is a small crack in the rear bumper, and a dent in the driver's side front fender, and the driver's side mirror housing is cracked, but still solidly in place. This is a perfect car for a young driver or as a work vehicle. I'm including a Pioneer CD player and fit kit for the car, which was removed from my other 1997 Escort that we sold a few years ago. The CD player has been sitting for a while though, so no guarantee it will work.
