1979 Chevy Big 10 I have for sale is a 1979 Chevy Big 10 that is in very good condition for its age. It has a automatic 3 speed transmission that shifts great. It has a powerful 350 V8 with a 4 barrell, electric choke carb. The interior is in very good condition, has minor cracks and the door panels need some attention. Has a Midland am/fm 8 track player that still works. The guages all work but are not original. I installed a tachometer. I swapped the guages out due to the speedometer breaking. 2 weeks ago the lower speedometer cable broke, so the speedometer does not work at the moment. The original guage cluster went to 100 mph and had 105,815 miles on it. The gauge cluster I installed had 138,760 when I installed it. Everything on the truck works. The truck has the original a/c compressor with r-12 and still works. The engine and transmission are still original. The previous owner had a rod nocking and replaced the whole bottom end with new parts. There is no bondo in the body. The underneath is very clean, never been in mud. There is some minor rust. I still have the camper top that came with the truck. Sorry I do not have pictures of it. It is the same color red that is on the truck. It has a sliding front window. This truck was kept in a barn hooked up to a 28ft. camper until I purchased it. The tires are in good conditon but would need to be replaced in about 5,000 miles. Has the original jack on the fender well still. Has a brake assist mounted under the dash for hauling trailers with electric brakes. All of the glass is good. It has been a very good truck but due to gas prices have to sell and get something more gas friendly. I would not be scared to drive this truck anywhere.
