Since its introduction in 1995 and continuing now in 2011 it has been competing well! As a matter of fact, this version has been more popular than its 1050 replacement because it still has off road capabilities. For 2011 Triumph will be offering the Tiger 800, 800 ABS and 800 XC which are sure to sell out before they even arrive so if you want the true father of that bike here it is. It has a smooth, torquey three cylinder oil and water cooled engine with a smooth shifting 6 speed transmission, This bike also has the optional factory saddle bags ($900), luggage rack and heated grips ($200)installed. The bike is in really exceptionally nice condition Mechanically she's very sound, and I wouldnt hesitiate to ride her across the country to her new home. It has the factory original blue paint which is in excellent condition. This bike just had it's service (oil change, chain adjust) so it's ready to go.
