Ok guys an gals if you want a really fun cool street strip car for the summer heres your car. She is a 1980 Z28 Camaro with a black custom paint job with a Welchs grape purple color when wet and in the right light. She has a 1994 Z28 Camaro LT-1 for a motor. The motor has had new rods and main bearings installed. The bore is stock and the cylender walls looked great. The car carries great oil pressure and never over heats. The transmission is a Turbo 350 I beleive and a stall converter of unkown RPMs as I do not have a tach installed and the stall converter came with the car. The rear end has been treated to a brand new 3.73 ring and pinion and a new mini spool in the 10 bolt. Let me make this clear this car is VERY VERY fast and with the spool is near dangerous as she likes to break loose when you punch it ! The car is probably 98% rust free. The undernieth of the car is still very strong and the car is nice and straight. The gauges are after market and new as well, the speedo and factory tach will need to be hooked up. I will through in a better dash and original steering wheel if the reserve is meet as the one in there now looks to have been cut for a aftermarket tach. I would put a new set of tires on her as the front ones are still in good tread but they have some small dry rot around the edges. The backs look to be the same size but are one size different and one has just a little tread on her. The car cranks a little longer on start up but always starts an runs super strong I would say she needs new plugs and or a low level sensor as I said she runs great but just cranks a bit longer than I would like. Friends have suggested she go to the track to drag and or a daily driver but I'm ready to move on to the next project. Good title in my name.
