Vintage 1966 Chevrolet C-30 one ton pickup. This truck has the very, very rare 9ft. stepside box. This is a true ranch/barn find truck. This truck lived it entire life on a western Kansas ranch and was not subject to harsh winter conditions with salt, so the body is very solid for it's age. The truck has a 250 6cyl. engine. The engine runs very strong but the gas in the gas tank is many years old, so the truck needs to have the manual choke pulled out to keep it running. The fuel tank should be drained and cleaned to getting truck running properly. The exhaust manifold gasket is blown out of the rear of the manifold so the truck is very loud and the exhaust manifold gasket will need replacing. The brakes currently do not work as the master cylinder was dry when I got it. I added fluid and I may have some brakes by the time the truck is picked up. Somewhere along the life of the truck, a late model HEI distributor was installed on the truck instead of the points style original distributor. The truck will need a battery since I put one in out of my truck just to get everything running. The truck has a heavy duty 4spd. trans and clutchs seems to work OK. The truck also has the very, very rare leaf rear springs which go with the one ton HD 9ft. box package instead of the more common coil rear springs for this model year. The floor of the pickup box has been replaced with a solid sheet of steel and it is welded intermittantly along the length. I should not be a major job to cut it out if you wanted to be totally original. The front seat has been replaced with something out of a passenger car. There is an accessory radio mounted under the glovebox. I have not cleaned the engine, interior or anything else on the truck. You will get it with all the original Kansas dirt still covering and preserving the truck. There is NO TITLE. I will provide a Bill of Sale with purchase. VIN C3645J133740. It appears that the truck is a 1965 rather than a 1966 as listed. Please be guided accordingly. As I had previously noted in the original description, there is NO TITLE for the truck. It will be sold with a notarized copy of the Bill of Sale from the estate in Kansas where I purchased the truck and a Bill of Sale from myself as the seller.
