1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 5 spd. 106,000, PW,PL,PM, cruise, moonroof, rear seat heater, power rear window, shift on the fly 4WD. Recent work including timing belt @ 90,000. Front rotors, calipers, pads were done at 75,000. Exhaust was replaced at 80,000. Rear springs and shocks were replaced at 80,000. Rear seat heater lines were replaced at @ 80,000 . Light front end damage from six years ago, front bumper is also rusted anyway and should be replaced at some point. Accident was a very slow speed rolling rear end hit, only cosmetic, has taken stickers fine, was going to repair myself but don't have the time right now. Did not touch the radiator which still looks new or any other components. Fiance had missed insurance payment(s), so I had to eat repair cost of other vehicle which was only $700 luckily, was not very pleased as you can imagine. Rear bumper just replaced. Tires are in great condition, a lot of tread left, not old either. Underneath of vehicle has average rust, frame is fine. Exterior is in excellent condition, no rust or bubbles anywhere. Few slight scratches mostly just on hood. Has been starting, idling a little rough last few weeks, have plugs but have not put in, needs plugs. Just took for lengthy highway trip two weeks ago, drove great, no shaking, no problems, clutch is good, brakes are good(I am easy on clutches/brakes). Very nice vehicle, if not for the cosmetic repairs needed would be very nice looking vehicle. Only other issues are air conditioning ran out this summer, not surprising for age, shift boot has tear(easily replaced off ebay), and in the cargo bay area the rear seats were damaged by unhappy puppy years ago, have replacement panels attached which look/work fine for cargo area. The rest of the interior is in great shape, always uv protected/cleaned/vacuumed. No major stains or burns, could be shampooed though.Has seperate tweeters/crossovers, simple AIWA cd player is installed right now, has AUX input on front, decent unit. Used as commuter vehicle with 80% highway miles on I-295, towed small moving trailer twice, never off roaded or beaten by any means. Used syntec blend every 3,000 except for recent (too cold in garage!) oil changes. All major work done at Lee Toyota, I purchased with 20,000 miles from owners who used as 2nd or 3rd vehicle, hence the low miles. Has Fram Airhog lifetime air filter. Rear diff. fluid was replace at around 80,000, has had lube jobs regularly. Transmission fluid may be time for change, coolant was flushed and replaced when rear seater lines were done not too long ago. As you can see I have lots of money and time invested in vehicle, was going to keep but I was laid off and have an another vehicle. 4WD works excellent, no problems, used enough to keep things moving but never driven over 45 mph, excellent in monster storms. Clean title. Very good on gas for SUV, especially with the 5spd. 100% Feedback.
