Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1979 Honda CB650. It is in good running condition. As you can see, the pipes are not blued or yellowed or discolored in any way which means this engine has run nice and cool it's entire life. I believe the mileage to be true and exact. The reason I'm selling it is that we are moving to the Alaskan bush and I am unable to take it with me. I brought this bike back from the dead and have over $1200 in it. All systems are fully functional. Clear title! Here is what I've done to it: New Avon Roadrider tires - front and back with less than 200 miles on them. Dyna beads balancing system New front and rear sprockets New drive chain New tach cable New automotive type paint job with clear coat New aftermarket mirrors Ignitor Box Rear turn signals New spark plugs and spark plug wires Rebuilt Carburetor Kits Master cylinder rebuild kit New batteryOther replaced parts: Side covers Foot pegs Front sprocket chain cover Turn signal/light switchThat's the good. Here is the not so good: There is a non original replacement screw in the bowl of one of the carburetors. There is a broken exhaust flange stud on one of the pipes but there doesn't appear to be an exhaust leak resulting from that. This bike is cold blooded starting. The choke is hooked up and operational but when the engine is cold, this bike is hard to start. I live at 8000ft in elevation and I'm sure this plays a role in the starting difficulty but as you can see in the video, once it's warmed up it starts in a split second and will do that all day long. Maybe all this bike needs is a home lower in elevation and a warmer climate. There are a few small dings on the front fender, nothing major. I'm going to start this off at a lower price so that everyone who wants it can get in on the auction. This is going to make somebody a nice daily rider. I will throw in a motorcycle helmet, a repair manual, and some spare parts with this bike. Also included, but not pictured, is a Battery Tender JR. that has a wire harness I installed. It allows you to keep the battery at full charge during storage. No need to bring a trailer, this bike is road worthy and ready for the successful bidder to ride home. Here is a link to a video on Youtube with a walk around and start up that i did the day of listing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5MR3Cdw_C0 Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping cost. My location is about an hour and a half southwest of Denver Colorado. On Mar-23-11 at 07:03:56 PDT, seller added the following information:Thanks to all of the bidders. This is a really nice classic bike. Don't let it slip away!!On Mar-23-11 at 08:13:05 PDT, seller added the following information:I will check tire air pressure, lube and adjust chain, do a fresh oil change for the lucky winner of this bike.
