This car was completely gone through. I had it listed before and it got an enormous amount of interest but no serious offers. I have since replaced the tranny because first gear was not working in the other one. Engine was removed from a sandrail and put into the bug. Newer 1835 engine according to previous owner.It runs awesome, I know it goes at least 85 mph but have not had an opportunity to go anywhere faster...it is still winter here. Pan is in perfect condition with zero rust. Installed complete new interior kit. Before carpeting was installed, all metal was cleaned and sprayed with protector.Cork installed on floor for insulation and sound deadening purpose.All weatherstripping, window felts,etc were replaced. Windshield and rear window were removed to replace the rubber also. The only rust on the entire car was some on the engine deck and it was very minor.This is very common.Nevertheless, It was treated and coated with Herculiner. All brakes, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings were replaced. New shocks on rear.AM/FM CD player with new box speakers behind rear seat.New dash board.New starter. All rear axle bearings were replaced. Car has a $400.00 paint job, so it is not perfect but it looks good. The ignition did not work so toggles were installed.There is a power on, a fuel pump on, accessory on and a push button to start.The original headlight knob in dash works as do the wipers.Fuel gauge works. There are two toggles for the additional off road lights. There is a 12volt heater mounted under dash area if it gets cold where you are.
