Vehicle Detail

71 Super Beetle for your consideration which has been sitting in a garage since 1999. The body has almost NO rust except for some minor rot on the driver’s side rocker panel. Complete Airkewld lowering package included. The front has been dropped a whopping 7 inches and has new disc brakes and new tie rods. All hardware for lowering the rear is included but has NOT been installed. New Albert Swan Neck mirrors have been installed A deck lid from a 1963 has been installed and works seamlessly. Interior is in great shape including nice carpet. The rear seat needs some TLC and the rear soundproofing has been removed so I could get a look at the body from the inside. Super Beetle dash pad has been removed to reveal the stock painted metal dash. This car has not been started since 1999 when it was put into hibernation. Everything is there including some new odds and ends (air filter, plug wires, etc) minus the gas tank which was removed for refurbishment but has since been sold. Front passenger side headlight was removed at some point. The fender WILL need to be replaced in order to install a new headlight. Additionally, hood latch was removed haphazardly causing some minor but fixable sheet metal damage. No bumpers. No heater box. No gas tank. Overall, it is a nice project car that could see the road shortly with some elbow grease and TLC. This Super would make a pristine hoodride/panscraper etc. Buyer must arrange pick-up.On Mar-17-11 at 12:19:16 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to several questions concerning the tires and suspension: The whitewalls were PAINTED by the previous owner many years ago and have since cracked. The photos may be deceiving as they do not look as nice up close. They have been great as rollers but I would recommend replacements before the new owner hits the streets. Secondly, the suspension can be easily adjusted from the current setting back up to the stock height and almost anywhere in between!
