1971 Dodge Challenger R/T Clone Great project for someone who wants to enjoy a car while working to restore it as budgets allow. Car runs and drives down the road and looks great on the street. Draws lots of attention. Fender tag is nearly full of codes (see below) and along with a center console automatic, the car also has air conditioning and an 8-3/4 rear axle. Please check out my other auction for a 1970 Dodge Super Bee. Exterior Original Ralley Red car with one amateur repaint that looks good from a distance. Paint job is showing its age with some body work showing through and car has door dings and scratches from regular use. New quarter panels were installed and it appears that the right front fender was replaced when the car was repainted. Go wing was recently added, along with a new Legendary Interiors vinyl top. Front to back condition of the car: grille is warped to the left of center and overall presentable, ralley hood has nice inserts and some stress cracking in the front, left side fender is rusted and will need replaced, right side front fender is in nice condition, doors are good with minimal rust swelling in lower pinch weld, right side rocker panel is rusted out the bottom and will need replaced along with the torsion bar cross member which has some rust holes and swelling, front floor pan has patches and could be replaced as a full panel, quarter panels are new and outer wheel wells and trunk extensions have typical rust issues that were not corrected when the quarters were installed, trunk lid is fair and tailpanel is solid, taillights are nice for a driver, there is no rust around the front or rear windshield, glass and exterior trim are nice, bumpers are fair for a driver. Comes with new outer rocker panels and a replacement torsion bar crossmember. Interior Black bucket seat interior with slap stick A/T center console. Seams on seat cushions are split underneath aftermarket seat covers. Nice carpet and door panels. Original dash is in very good condition with nice gauges and only a couple small splits in the dash pad near the speaker grill. Headliner and all interior trim are intact and nice. Drivetrain Small block 318 starts right up and idles fine for a stock engine. Automatic transmission shifts through all the gears.
