Vehicle Detail
Up for grabs in a 1956 Desoto FireDome with a 330 Hemi and Pushbutton Automatic Transmission. It's had some restoration work done in the past and my wife and I bought it with the thought of finishing it, but we're just not the auto restoration type. She's got rust in all the usual places, bondo in a few, and a really bad paint job. But...she runs and drives with very little spittin', sputterin', or smoking. I pull her out of the shop about once a week and let her stretch her legs...she can still turn a few heads and bring on a few smiles. She old and needs some TLC but she seems to be all there, plus, there are some extra parts listed below that we started to accumulate. There's also a list of work done on the car by a previous owner. I have the receipts for these so I'm guessing they were professionally done. Shipping/Pickup is entirely up to the buyer but I'll do what I can on this end to make it easier. Parts: Service manual (CD and Print) Parts interchange manual (CD) Extra Carb. Carb rebuild kit. Distributor, points, condenser. Directional Signal Operating Arm (the internal part which I believe to be broken) Chrome trim Extra set of hubcaps New trunk gasket Oil filters A spare tire that, thankfully, I've never tried...I assume it fits. An Ammco brake gauge. A wheel/hub puller A “Chock Full a Nuts” can with some misc pieces and parts. Work done that I have the receipts for: Radiator recore Carb overhaul Steering column install??? Water pump Muffler Front wheel bearings and seals Seat covers, carpet, other interior work Rebuild transmission
