1965 Comet Caliente 2 Door Hardtop. 289 2-V, 3 speed trans(auction includes a t-10 4 speed not installed). Wimbledon White exterior, blue interior, brand new Torque Thrust Original Wheels with new BF Goodrich T/A tires. The exterior is very straight, the wheel lips above the rear tires have had patches welded in, and they look very good. At some point in its life someone installed front floor pan patches, the drivers side torque box has a few small rusted spots, but not too bad, and the passenger side torque box has just a couple small spots, better than drivers side, the rest of the underside looks good. We were going to install new interior and change the color to black, but did not get that far(dash, and inside of doors have been sanded and primed), Original interior still intact, the only new interior piece we have is a black nos dash pad. The car has newer paint, but has not been jammed yet, were going to do this when we did the interior. The car needs new exhaust installed, we were going to put new headers and dual exhaust on this spring, but again have not gotten that far. The car runs, rides, and drives good. Another thing we were going to get done is to install a 4-V intake and carb, but like the other items mentioned it has not been done yet. The front glass is cracked, new front glass is available for under $200, all other glass is good. As stated before, the interior is original and looks it, not terrible but not great either, driver condition. Overall, this is a good running and driving, very cool Comet, that would make a great driver the way it is, or finish the things that we have not got to yet. Located in southeast Nebraska. Also we do have the lower trim piece for the drivers side front fender, just have not mounted yet. The car drives great, but is loud because there is no muffler. Again this was intended to be completely finished this sping but plans changed.
