2002 VW Jetta GL, TDI. Very good overall condition. No accidents. No rust. Non-smoking owners. No smells. Has been my daily commuter between Waynesboro and Harrisonburg (70 mile round trip). I am the original owner. Timing belt, new water pump, thermostat, transmission filter and 4 new glow plugs at 115930 miles (have all documentation). 4 new Cooper CS-4 Touring tires ($500) with less than 1000 miles on them. New OEM VW battery in January 2010. Car runs very well. Transmission has begun to act up. Had it in the shop and was told the torque coverter was locked. Technician cleared error codes and car ran great for approximately 3 days and now has begun to do the same thing. The check engine light is not on. The car is driveable, but requires warm up. Once on highway, runs smooth, 2500 rpm at 70 mph. If you are looking at a Jetta diesel, you know the fuel mileage and longevity you will get is terrific. This one averages 45 mpg + consistently. Car will require some work on transmission, but once repaired, should be good for another 200K + miles! Really torn about selling this car, but wife says sell it. Very reasonable reserve for a very desirable diesel. Clear title in hand. Good luck bidding.
