Vehicle Detail

This car has been garaged all its life and is very clean for its age. But as you can see from the picture it has some hood damage. It rear ended a stationary pickup truck at about 5 mph. I bought the car 4 years ago intending to repair the hood damage and restore the car. But the car has been sitting in my garage collecting dust since I bought it and now I need to say goodbye to it because I just have other priorities. In my experience in working on Fieros I think this is one of the lucky cases where replacing the hood and hinges is all that's necessary. The car drives normally (including on the freeway). The alignment was not affected. The hood will have to be cut off and replaced. I can cut it off with a sawzall if you're interested (but at that point it would have to be trailered to your location since driving without a hood is not a good thing to do). As a result of the hood damage the headlights are stuck in the "up" position. The headlights don't light up (the left one is broken). It may just require replacing the lamps. The left turn signal works normally. The right turn signal turns on solid which means it likely needs a new relay. The power windows and AC work normally. The rest of the body is good and the paint is clean (no fading or oxidation). The engine and transmission are both strong, and the transmission shifts smoothly. As is common for Fieros, the headliner is coming down. There is a small tear in the left lumbar support of the driver's seat, but the rest of the upholstery is in good condition. On the other hand, if you don't want to repair the hood and are interested in a parts car, this car is a great candidate because the rest of the car is in good condition given its age. Just let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like more pictures. I will provide as many details as possible. On Mar-13-11 at 16:02:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: the car is currently registered as "non-operational" status. So in order to drive or move the car the buyer would have to get a moving permit from the DMV, or make equivalent arrangements.
