The Vehicle……….2001 Volvo V70 7 passenger wagon in silver with a black leather interior. This 3 seat Volvo wagon is clean and solid but needs maintenance. Features include front wheel drive, economical 5 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, automatic climate control air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, dual heated power seats, third seat, sliding glass sunroof, cruise control, tilt & telescopic steering wheel, delay wipers, am-fm cassette stereo with built in CD player, steel wheels and much more. It's Condition...........The engine runs smoothly with no skips, noises, or vibrations. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears, and all other mechanical systems seem to function properly. The timing belt has been changed. The tires are almost new. On my short test drive I noticed the following mechanical issues. There is a wheel bearing noise. The rear shocks should be replaced. The parking brake does not hold. There could be other issues, but that’s what I noticed on my test drive. Everything else seemed fine. The interior is excellent. There are no badly worn, torn, or stained areas on the seats, carpets, or headliner. The leather seats are soft and comfortable. All other interior panels look excellent. The paint and body are Excellent! There are no big dents, rusted areas, or serious scratches anywhere on the body. The paint appears all original, and has an outstanding shine. The side view mirror on the driver’s door is cracked. Driving this Volvo is a smooth and comfortable experience. There are no shakes, rattles, or vibrations (except wheel bearing noise). The ride is smooth and tight. This is a CLEAN, SOLID, and COMFORTABLE Volvo wagon that NEEDS MAINTENANCE. None of the maintenance seems unusual or serious, but it should be completed before you put your family in the car. The parking brake and cracked mirror will keep the car from passing MA state inspection, so the car is being sold AS-IS for off road use if you are a Massachusetts resident. Things you should know..........I try hard to accurately describe all of my cars. The description is the result of a 4 mile test drive over varied road surfaces and a visual inspection while the car is parked. I am not a mechanic and I do not guarantee that my description of problems (if any) is accurate or complete, but I try very hard to be thorough and honest, and my reputation reflects that effort. Please remember that these are used vehicles and you should expect a normal amount of wear for the year and mileage, but any serious known flaws would be noted above. We add a $180 doc fee to all vehicle purchases. Local bidders are encouraged to see and drive the car prior to bidding. I was burned by an official looking bank check that was made on a home computer, so I no longer accept checks of any kind. The vehicle is being sold as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied.
