Vehicle Detail

Up for auction today is a 1968 Plymouth Satellite station wagon. Car has a 318 cu (5.2 liter) engine,727 automatic transmission, and an 8.75 inch rearend.Has power steering and power brakes.(the brake booster leaks and should be rebuilt) This is a "project" car, meaning it needs a bit-o-work. The engine runs well,it has GM throttle body fuel injection, with a DynamicEFI.com ecm, that is tunable with a laptop,I will supply the buyer with a software disc.Removing the fuel injection system is no problem, you would just need a carburetor, distributor, and coil.Car needs exhaust, just the engine pipe remains. When I got the car it had a slipping 904 transmission, I replaced it with a recently rebuilt 727 and had a new driveshaft made. I replaced the the rear axle bearings and seals a few years back, along with brake shoes and wheel cylinders. The upper control arm bushings need replacing, the rest of the front end seems okay. Now,as far as body condition, the car is quite solid for its age,the front floor pans have rusted through,as have the bottom of the spare tire well, and the storage compartment next to the spare tire well.(can be seen in the pictures) The framerails, rocker panels, and rear floors are solid.Rust is just starting to eat away at the rightside torsion bar rail(All B-Body mopars do this),but is an easy fix. The only outer body rust is the rear quarters and the bottom of the rear tailgate, the rest of the car is solid. I bought this car in 2000,it was missing the front seat, front door panels, the switch panel, and keys(I do not have any door keys) The front seat is from a mid 70's plymouth. This has been my "spare" car for 11 years.I had plans of dropping in a big block, maybe a 4 speed, and make into a Road Runner wagon, but I have 5 other cars and just keeping them all running is quite a task. Even the way the car is now it always draws attention at the car shows, alot of "Mopar guys" never knew Plymouth made a B-body wagon. I may have forgotten a few details,if so,just keep in mind that it is a 43 year old car. I will try to gather up as many of the spare parts I have to include with the sale. F.Y.I. New York state does not issue titles for 1973 and older cars, only a transferable registration(that I have of coarse)
