1978 Chevy K1500, 4x4. 350, 350 automatic, power windows and locks, tilt wheel, factory tach, A/C and cruise control, it all works! This truck is exceptionaly clean, rust free and unmolested. Truck was originally purchased and is titled as a 1978 GMC Grand Sierra but due to the inability to find quality GMC restoration parts, namely a solid tailgate, fender and dash emblems, I reasembled it with chevy logo parts. Complete frame off restoration 2 years ago. Frame was stripped and repainted, reassembled with all new coated steel brake and fuel lines, brake hardware, drums, rotors, calipers and brake cylinders, new cab mounting hardware, polyurathane bushings, rear leaf hangers and grade 8 hardware. Cab and bed were off a completely original, rust free 84 2wd truck from Georgia that I purchased on ebay. Inner and outer fenders were new and hood is original modified with cowl scoop. 350 runs strong and burns no oil. I did not do any motor work other than headers, intake and carb. I was told it had an RV cam in it when I bought it and it does have a slightly lumpy idle. 350 auto shifts and drives strong. NP203 transfer case converted with MileMarker solid shaft conversion kit and lock out hubs. 4wd works great. Dana 44 front and GM 12 bolt rear were drained, cleaned and inspected (no visible wear) and reasembled with all new seals, oil and u-joints. New base coat/clear coat two-tone custom paint. Interior is in great shape. New Kicker speakers but in dash unit recently quite working. Dont know actual mileage but who really does on a 5 digit odometer. Original spedo read 26,xxx when I purchased it. This has been my daily driver for about 1 1/2 years now and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Its about 95% done. Could use new bumpers and I did not paint inside bed, planned on getting spray in bed liner. I hate to get rid of it after all the work I've done but I have a grand son now and need something with a rear seat. Will consider trade on a 1987-1991 Chevy/GMC 350 TBI 4wd Blazer.
