Entry level collector car that needs attention, This 1962 Galaxie 500, 2 door hardtop came from Texas, the body and frame are very solid, it has an older amature base clear paint job it still shines but has some clear peeling. It is a Z code 390 car and it has an FE series engine but what it is I am not sure, it does run nice and sounds good. It has a 600cfm 4V Holley carb. that has been rebuilt and dual exhaust. (the orig. air filter on the back seat wont fit) The trans is a cast iron cruisamatic it works but is a little soft, has been serviced so I would say its going to need some attention soon. It has power brakes and has had all new brake shoes and hardware installed, new brake hoses and some lines replaced. It has had alot of front end componenets replaced and a front end alignment, the power steering quit working, may need a pump? It has Ford under dash A/C that is tied in with the factory heater, its all there and the compressor is free but we never tried to get it operational. It has an Alt. on it from an import it looks like a Toyota? Some of the trim has been reattached with sheet metal screws, the rocker mldgs are the worst. Bumpers shine but are bent and twisted. The windshield has a few chips but the rest of the glass is good. The interior is done in some kind of tweed/burlap with Lincoln trim on the door panels and rear side panels. The dash pad is pretty nice with a small 1/2-3/4" crack at the speaker hole. All the lights work, horn, fuel guage and speedo as well. Its show 21,800 mi. I do not know if it is 121,000 221,000 or 521,000 so I am saying True Milage Unknown. The skirts are there but none of the hardware is and they are not very nice. I wanted to take pics of the trunk floor but the carpet is glued down, I mean glued down, but I have been under the car and didn't see any holes or patches. No patches on the 1/4 panels.No rust or repairs on the frame. It is a solid car and with a little work could be a decent driver. It does drive good down the road. The car can be driven but I reccommend hauling it if you are very far away. I will assist with shipping on my end as much as possible, physically not financially.
