This bike is in great restorable condition or ride it as is. Starts and idles and rides just fine. However this bike has been sitting since 1978. It still has portions of the original 72-76 inspection sticker. It is all original with the exception of the shorty pipes. The mufflers remove for straight pipe riding . This bike is fairly loud and has a great throaty sound. All of the lights work as well as horn ,turn signals, neutral light, blinker light & tach. I rode it about 4 miles and saw that the speedometer was not working. This bike shows 1839 miles on it and we would think that's about right but because the speedometer is not working we can't guarantee the mileage. We would rate the bike about 90%. Overall condition is very good. We went over the bike fairly good and the only things we saw missing were one of the small chrome holders for the left hand side cover. The front brake handle has the ball broken off and there is a dent in the right side of the gas tank ( most likely a fall over caused the brake handle and dent in the tank) looks like someone tried to peen on the tank to knock the dent out but really it doesn't show a lot. There are also a couple of scratches in the tank. The gas tank chrome lid will need to be replaced the hold down is broken. The tank was a little rusty inside and could use a prime coat. If you'r going to resore this bike then you will want to have the chrome parts re-chromed. At least one points cover is oxidized and pitted. The rest of the chrome is pretty good. To restore it will take a "frame off restoration". If you just want to have fun with it I would still suggest having the carbs rebuilt or at minimum cleaned. The tires look pretty good on it but again because it sat so long it may be safer to figure on replacing them too however they also look pretty good just some very minor dry rot . We put on a new fuel line but the closest we could get was 3/16 and we think this bike takes 5.5 line. Also has a new battery and the electric start works fine but the battery on full charge will only start it about once so we have been kicking it over .May just need a better battery because the starter on the charger is not sluggish at all. NOTE : We were just inspecting the title and it shows it was a second title issued in 1978 and shows the mileage of 8,346.
