Vehicle Detail
1970 Ford F250 Crewcab. Restored 10 years ago and has just sat in the basement doing nothing. This truck has new factory ford fenders, inner fenders and core support. Factory air, carpeting, recovered seats, spray in bed liner, 96 ford wheels, rebuilt 390 with less than 10,000 miles on it, c-6 auto, disc brake frontend. No radio yet. Since it was restored there are minor flaws appearing along the bed seams. On Mar-05-11 at 05:06:16 PST, seller added the following information: 1970 Crewcab. Since it was restored there are minor flaws appearing along the bed seams. I guess I should add that when I started this project 15 years ago I wanted this truck as new as I could get it, the engine rebuilt(390 runs strong), the front wrap of this truck is now non-replaceable as it is brand new factory ford not after market. I had floorpans put in cab, cab corners installed (not happy with that job but have to live with it),new cab mounts,I had shortbed sandblasted and all seams welded ( that is what is starting to flower on it) the rear doors have new metal added to them, the front doors were my best out of my collection I had. The interior was totally re-done. I have never figured out how to trim the step wells on the rear doors. It has all new door and window rubber ( that is after market), new rockers on the front doors, all the brake system was replaced with new. I also added additional leafsprings as I intended this to be a hauling truck. 410 rearend Now what is not finished- never has it been buffed since being painted, the tailgate handle is yet to be put on, the tires have been replaced I was waiting until it was done and that is where i stopped, I have not put all seatbelts in - they are black and I started thinking of trying to find way to dye the ones I have, no radio. We start the truck a few times a year maybe take it for a short drive -as I live on gravel so not thrilled about it going far. We did but a rebuild on the c-6 about 2 years ago as it kept leaking on the floor. I have learned sitting does about as much harm as driving. Have not started it now since last fall. So with all this said- I would not recommend planning on driving this truck until she has a set of tires and a little time spent just tuning her back up.On Mar-05-11 at 05:13:13 PST, seller added the following information: The prior up date shows the tires replaced it should say not replaced. Also I wanted to add again as I am sure most people have caught the fact that it does not have a 1970 grill, I like the 1967-1968 grills better. I still have the 1970's grill if one should want it instead. On Mar-08-11 at 16:49:30 PST, seller added the following information: To all seriously interested in this truck, it is well worth the price it is currently at, the material and parts are not even covered and that was prices 10 and 15 years ago. I feel confident telling anyone that this truck is a very nice and rare find. I would not be selling if it were not for the fact that I have been telling myself I would finsh it this year then next and so on and never have for 10 years.( It just sits in the garage )If anyone has any questions concerning the truck you can call 816-262-8092.
