For your consideration is a 1950 Mercury 4 door project. This would make an awesome donor car or a restoration project. You could be the only kid on your block to have a chopped 4 door Merc! I’m not parting the car, sorry. What you see in the pics is what you get. Nothing more, nothing less. The previous owner sand blasted the car and left the bare metal untreated. There had been some metal work done on the car by the previous owner. It looks like the floors, inner rockers and toe boards have been replaced. He also removed the chassis, sand blasted and painted it. The front end has been fully rebuilt to include new bushings, new king pins, 4 new shocks and new inner/outer tie rod ends. The brake system was also fully rebuilt to include new shoes, hold down kits, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings, seals, master cylinder kit, rubber lines and hard lines. The rear end has also been rebuilt with new bearings and seals. There are new leaf springs and shocks with 4” lowering blocks. The gas tank was boiled and coated. It currently has good fuel in it. I am unsure about the sending unit. I was told the flathead runs but I have not messed with it. It will turn over by hand with normal effort. It is still on the 6v positive ground system. I was also told the transmission works as well. There is a new set of body mounts that’s included. There is no front clip with the car. There are 8 doors and a deck lid included in the sale. There is a truck load of parts that will go as well. I have not been through everything but I can tell you there are 2 grilles, a complete dash, wiring, heater parts, door hinges, wing windows, window regulators window frames and trim. I am leaving out many, many parts because I simply don’t know what all is there. This would be the perfect frame to slide under your project! All of the hard work is done. You could junk the body and recoup a fair share of your purchase price! I also have a flathead OD transmission that has been fully rebuilt with a new actuator and the wiring harness. This is a bolt in and go tranny. This is NOT included with in the sale. I am asking $500 for it.If you have ANY questions don’t hesitate to ask.
