I am an Ivy League graduate. I am in my mid-30s. I am a serious fellow, and I've been on the national and local TV news giving unpaid and unsolicited financial market commentary; also been in major national newspapers and magazines doing the same. Most recently, I was quoted in AARP magazine. There is nothing being hidden about this car, as so many people do. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 11 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about this car of which I am aware, it's available to you in the auction. I go out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. Look at my specific feedback...look how the guy who bought the truck recently said, "You can trust Seth with your eyes closed." I work hard to make sure I get comments like that; I don't take it lightly, and it means a tremendous amount to me. I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the car without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)! The car: You are bidding on a 1983 Porsche 911SC which is a the same year and same color combination as my personal daily driver which is also up for auction concurrently. The heater works in this car. This car has a 5-speed Manual Transmission. There are no oil leaks on this car that make drips on the ground. This car is hard to start when cold, which is a common issue and it's usually a cold start valve problem which is easy and inexpensive to have fixed. I would have that fixed if I had time, but I am selling my entire Porsche collection because I am leaving for an extended management consulting engagement -- you'll see in my concurrent auctions (if you click "View Seller's Other Items") there are 5 other Porsches I have for auction. This 911 has a clean and clear Florida title. Do not confuse this '83 911 SC with the other '83 I have up for auction at the same time, which is the same color. The other one, that is my daily driver, does not have original Fuchs wheels, and has a whale tale. The clutch pedal has a very short action (just a few inches) and is very stiff. I think that's a racing clutch upgrade. The car was lowered to European standards. -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- NO MINIMUM BID -- THE TOP BIDDER WINS Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and videos as the description is clearly not intended to be exhaustive. Let me repeat that for emphasis: The words in the description are not meant to be exhaustive. As eBay says, a single picture is worth a thousand words. eBay strongly recommends the best practice of providing as many photos as possible and letting the photos do the talking/writing, rather than trying to describe in words what can be seen in a photo or trying to recreate in words what already is in provided photos. You have hundreds of photos and at least one video for full disclosure about anything observable in them. I have been registered on eBay for close to 11 years and have 100% positive feedback. Any questions, message me through the eBay messaging system, and I will answer promptly, or you can call me at (Five-Six-One) Three-76-Two-Two-Seven-Nine. Pay close attention to the condition of the paint in the photos...it is not perfect, especially on the passenger door (coincidentally that's same place as my daily driver up for auction, but again, don't confuse them), the hood has a quarter size peeling chip in it, a line of chipping/peeling and the sunroof clear coat is peeling (a Photobucket slideshow with hundreds of pictures and 1 or more videos will be posted below in an auction revision...they are not finished uploading yet.) Just because I said "pay close attention to the paint in the photos" does not mean you don't have to pay close attention to the other photos and closely examine them. AUCTION RULES: Full payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction ending by either cash in-person or bank wire only. (Once you receive a fraudulent cashier's check from a buyer, you'll never accept another "certified" bank check either!) Pickup is also due within 14 calendar days, and may not occur until funds have cleared. Storage for the first 14 days is FREE. There is a storage charge of $350/week beyond 14 days, and is limited to 2 extra weeks (for a total of 4 weeks of storage). A $500 deposit is due by PayPal within 24 hours of auction end. You must read the entire auction description, follow the rules, and study each picture and video(s) fully. I do not offer any kind of a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of policy -- this car is As Is with no warranty. -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- * * * NO MINIMUM BID -- THE TOP BIDDER WINS * * *On Feb-25-11 at 13:12:33 PST, seller added the following information: The following slideshow automatically displays the first 100 of the approximately 400 available pictures. That's just a Photo Bucket limitation...to view the rest of them, right-click on the "View all" at the bottom right of the slideshow and select "open in new tab" or "open in new window": On Feb-26-11 at 00:05:10 PST, seller added the following information: I've created this 20-minute video on the car. It's worth watching the entire thing. On Feb-26-11 at 08:22:30 PST, seller added the following information: The rear tires are at or close to the treadwear indicators. On Feb-27-11 at 11:22:43 PST, seller added the following information: The extra original steering wheel you see in the video/pictures of the other auction for the 1976 911S in the front bonnet compartment goes with THIS car, not that car. That was an ERROR in that other auction. This '83 911SC is the one with the Momo steering wheel and comes with the original steering wheel too which will be waiting for you in front bonnet/hood compartment. That extra original steering wheel you see goes with this '83 Porsche 911SC. Let me repeat that for clarity: This auction comes with two steering wheels. The Momo steering wheel mounted on the car, and the original steering wheel too, which will be in the front hood storage compartment for you. On Feb-27-11 at 12:00:46 PST, seller added the following information: The following picture is the original steering wheel which also comes with the car in addition to the Momo steering wheel currently mounted on the car:
