Vehicle Detail

. " If you want GERMAN automotive engineering with GERMAN build and material quality, you should get a GERMAN automobile built by GERMANS ... in GERMANY !" 2005 Jetta GL TDI Turbo Diesel Wagon Tiptronic 5spd Automatic Transmission ONE NON-SMOKER FAMILY and SUMMER DRIVEN ONLY GARAGED since NEW and NEVER driven in SNOW or on SALTY ROADS 15,492 original miles This Jetta was purchased brand new as a planned "keeper" that we hoped to still own when we retired to Florida. I have almost 25 years experience as a Parts Manager of a Volkswagen Dealership and as the owner/operator of a Bosch Import Auto Parts and Import Automobile Service Specialist Center dealing primarily in Volkswagen and Audi Automobiles. We specialized in Volkswagen Diesels. I knew that the opportunity to own a GERMAN ENGINEERED Volkswagen Jetta TDI Wagon MADE BY GERMANS IN GERMANY was not going to last forever. Knowing what I know about Volkswagen's past history seasoned with knowledge of their future global production plans, we made our decision to buy this Jetta even though we knew it would not be needed for years. I had seen Volkswagen American production from Pennsylvania, their Mexican production and the offerings from South America. I am aware of the plans for their new facility in Tennesee. In my opinion I see only cheaper priced cars built for Americans that may be very nice looking at first, but I feel they lack the true long lasting quality materials that most people have come to expect from Volkswagen. I do not want to speak ill of Volkswagen's automoblies or their outlook towards the future with their "Hemisphere Marketing", but I'll take a German built Volkswagen over all others any day of the week, ... and TWICE on Sunday. APPEARANCE CARE This Candy White Jetta has been garaged since new and kept in immaculate condition with the only gentle driving being done at leisure on summer days. Exterior surfaces have been maintained with Meguiar's car care products and their Next Gen II Car Wax. The black clorh (durable cross-woven nylon) seating surfaces and the carpets have never seen the light of day as the complete interior has been covered with either custom cut heavy rubber mats and very heavy cotton surfaced waterproof nylon pads that are used to catch "accidents" in nursing homes. Thse pad are so clean I've never needed wash them. The front and rear seats appear as if never sat upon. The carpet is as if it were brand new. The factory Volkswagen carpeted floor mats and the factory rubber floor and cargo area "monster" mats are as unused and stored in factory boxes. The cargo area pull-type cover and rear seat headrests are all stored in sealed storage drums and in "as new" condition. PROPER MAINTENANCE The TDI's engine "cover" has been removed to show how absolutely clean this car is even under the hood. No steam cleaning and Armor-all sprayed on this engine. Clean and well maintained. All of Volkswagen's maintenance schedules and driving proceedures for proper breaking in of the TDI's drivetrain have been followed since day one. In two separate trips from Ohio to Florida I have averaged 44 miles per gallon of fuel. The true break-in period of this diesel is not yet finished. All service intervals and requirements have been kept to the letter. At the first oil change and at subsequent 3,000 mile changes only German "Pentosin" brand fully synthetic motor oil conforming to Volkswagen's reqiured specifications for this Pumpe-Duse TDI engine and German "Mann" brand oil and air filters have been used in it's servicing. Now, let the pictures tell their story. These photos were taken just before Christmas 2010 for insurance purposes. The car has a stated full replacement value for insurance purposes of $20,000. I am required to photograph the car's immaculate condition every six months to maintain the stated amount. What would I get to replace this car? A New Mexican TDI Wagon with a "Million Dollar" exhaust system? (The mileage has not changed and the car is resting in the garage with it's battery "tender" attached.) Questions? .... Bob at 234-738-2629 ... and a beautiful Florida sunset!
