Vehicle Detail
This 1965 Cutlass is rather "plain Jane" looking on the outside, yet it is all new and upgraded under its exterior. First off it has a rebuilt (in the last 6 months) 455 Olds that is bored .040 over w/KB pistons, ARP main studs & rod bolts, polished Edelbrock aluminum heads, Lunati hyd roller cam and kit, Milodon 7 qt pan, Doug Thorley Jet-Hot coated headers, Edelbrock Performer Intake, 770 Holley Street avenger, electric fuel pump w/bypass regulator and return line, DUI HEI distributor w/custom advance curve for this engine's specs, 3" dual exhaust w/Pypes "X" tube & Flowmasters, Spectre Muscle Car Ram Air air box system, aftermarket aluminum radiator w/aux elec cooling fan. Smoothed firewall, very clean and detailed engine compartment. T400 trans w/Hughes manual/automatic valve body, Hughes 2200 RPM stall convertor, Moser bolt-in Ford 9" housing and 31 spline S/S axles, trac-loc 3rd member w/3.50 gears. Full Air Ride suspension from RideTech features Tubular upper and lower front control arms and Master series single adjustable ShockWaves. The rear suspension has StrongArm lower bars and Jegs adjustable upper bars with custom fabbed Shockwaves also controlling the ride height. The air management system is a RidePro w/digital readout and keyfob control. Big red air valves, onboard Viair compressor and two air tanks. Front disc brakes, rear are large Ford drum. The interior has new carpet and Scat low back buckets, custom dash insert with all AutoMeter gauges, no ac/heat, Hurst pistol grip shifter, Flaming River steering wheel, interior looks and feels great. Has a Sony tuner/CD with amp and subwoofer (doesn't sound as good as I hoped!) Trunk has 16 gal fuel cell, Optima battery, and the Air Ride components. Wheels are 15 x 7 and 15 x 8.5 Oldsmobile SSI replicas from Specialty Wheel LTD w/new Goodyear Eagle GT II tires, 235/65/15 & 275/60/15. This car is a paint job away from being a showstopper, but it is alot of fun just like it is. No one ever expects to find all these mods when they check out the car. I have 442 side scoops that need to be rechromed that will go with the car, I was going to badge it as a 442 if and when I ever had it painted. I truly enjoy this Cutlass, but a car that I built and then sold some 24 years ago has become available and this Cutlass is going to have to go in order to make an offer on it. I have between $25-$30K tied up in this Olds so far. If the car I'm trying to purchase ends up gone this Cutlass won't be for sale anymore. More pictures loaded soon, or request what you want to see more of.On Feb-23-11 at 22:13:09 PST, seller added the following information: The pictures of the car not yet together are from last summer. I included them in order to show some of the normally unseen frame and suspension. The picture in the garage with the doors off and the floor wet show the car at the lowered Air Ride position. The car was assembled in May 2010 and has one great summer of cruising under its belt. On Feb-24-11 at 02:06:33 PST, seller added the following information: Couple more items I forgot. Has MSD 6al box with rpm limiter, Ron Francis complete fuse box and wiring kit. I also have a lot of 65 Cutlass pieces and parts that can go with the car if you want them. Extra chrome, window glass, hood, trunk, core support, etc. On Feb-25-11 at 10:25:24 PST, seller added the following information: Added some more photos. One pic shows it in the up or drive height postion and the other fully lowered. Also some under car pics.On Feb-26-11 at 07:44:52 PST, seller added the following information: The last picture is my wife and I in 1987 with our Pro Street Corvette. The Cutlass has to go so I can make an attempt to buy it from its current owner. Most of us car lovers wish for a certain car from our past, this is the one for me. Its the only reason I would sell this Cutlass.
