For sale is my 72 Datsun 240z. This was my restoration project until recently. I just had a career change and no longer have the time to dedicate to this project. This makes me sad because I really love this car and hate to see it go. I'm sure I will eventually purchase another one but the next time it will be one that someone else has put the time into. Even though it looks like parts are missing; with exception of the carpet, this is car is complete. I was keeping a photo journal of work in progress. The photos showing two different types of wheels is an older one. The car actually has the turbo wheels on all four corners. If you have any questions feel free to call or text me on my cell. FOR THOSE THAT ARE WATCHING THIS CAR PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT MY BUY NOW PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED FROM $2,500 TO $1,700. All emblems except for the hood badge. New seat covers (amazing) Restored center console, heater control panel and taillight surrounds. (beautiful) 280z turbo wheels with centercaps (6 wheels total) New euro headlights Grille, headlight bucket surrounds, bumpers (need restoring) Restored defrost vent dash cowl Rebuilt Weber carbs with new chrome breathers and air filters Two front fenders (no rust or body filler) Choke cable with new lever Tune up (plugs, wires, condensers, points, rotary button, distributor cap) New fresh air vents for dash Fresh air intakes from radiator support to inner fenders New scuff plates (mounts in door thresh hold behind door sill plates) New braided vaccuum hose New pull handle for passenger door Door panels have been stripped and reconditioned but not recovered. New vinyl comes with them though Floor pans, spare tire well, and rear hatch area have some rust. Floor pans and frame rails will need replacing. You can buy the complete kit on line for around $350. The car has automatic transmission (rare) Authentic Dodge Viper hood scoop. Hole has been cut in hood but scoop has not been installed yet. Will need to be fiberglassed in. Oh and by the way I do have a clear title to the car in hand Even though I have done a complete tune up and installed new carbs it doesn't run. It's not getting any fire. I believe it needs a new coil. I don't believe it's anything serious because it ran before the tuneup. I planned on switching over to electronic ignition but I haven't had the time. As I said,career change and no longer have the spare time. It will have to be towed home. When I purchased the car it was 300 miles away. What I did was call a U-Haul dealer in that area and reserved a car hauler (not a tow dolly) And pulled it back myself. The rental with insurance was about$90. I have included a pic for reference.
