1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Wagon Solid Runner (Daily Driver) Built in Fremont California VIN ( Z) for Fremont CA build) and has never left the state and still has it's original Black California Plates. The car is a daily driver and runs good. It was originally a 6 Cylinder manual possibly a 3 speed on the tree and is currently a 283-2 with a turbo 350 and a B&M shifter on the floor with a manual choke. The kick down cable is not hooked up. There is plenty of passing power and I manually downshift to 2nd to pass. Breaks were gone threw and good. It has a newer duel exhaust system installed. Turbo 350 shifts very well. Other notable items noted are: rear bumper has small dent on left side. front bumper has small bend on right side, wires, cap and rotor all look new. Car is off trailer and I've driven it to work 50 miles one way several times. There are some squeaks and noises in rear of car. no carpet good floorboards and frame rails, little surface rust if any. see picture of clutch pedals. Ten Bolt rear end. good mufflers and exhaust pipes. Reconditioned Gas Tank - it has been cleaned, conditioned and sealed with POR 15 . This tank is a one year model. If you find one treat it right. Tanks that are one year production go up in value sometimes to $400 and $500. I've seen this with a Sport Fury Convertible 1 year gas tank. This car has been a California Car its whole life. Has (2) Black California License Plates. The wagon looks to have been a surfers car so the interior has some surface rust on the trim pieces. Some trim pieces are missing. The front bench seat is in very good condition. The head liner is gone and the carpet is torn out as well. There is a couple rust spots and threw rust under one rear window. The paint is re-paint and pealing. Steering needs a Little adjusting, has play in it. Drive fairly straight does not need an alignment I had it checked out. The tire shop said it was a steering box adjustment that needed to be done and it is not what he does. It drives and stops well. its a great shifter and has good highway gears. All the glass is good as is the exterior chrome. The radio is out of the car. It has a floor B&M shifter. There are clutch and small brake pedals. Floor boards are in nice condition. Dash is in good condition. Can needs a lot of small or little things corrected. Odometer reads 80,500 but may be over that. The car does not have the original engine as stated. One key opens all locks and starts car. The rear wagon gate lock is broken and opens with a screw driver. It needs repair. Bumpers are in good condition see pictures. Spare tire is missing. I have not inspected the very back kids seat although its there and folded down. There is a luggage rack on the roof that is in good to fair condition. It may need some fixing in a few spots. The car is in Rohnert Park Ca 94928 and is currently registered. I'm taking on roommates and need the parking. Clear Title in hand. Current CA Registration July 2011 with Black CA plates. When I replied I forgot to post it. I have pasted it here: Answer: (questions are below:) I know there is a leak at the top on the windshield into the cab, rear side windows have rust areas (the right side looks like a 6" area being worse that the left minor), manual steering, not sure about the spare tire area getting water because it hasn't rained here in 2 weeks, quarters - right has minor bubbles forward, may go threw but is an area of a silver dollar, there is also bondo on spare wheel round / Left side there is 2 areas with bondo forward and rear in the rear area of quarter, , doors - there is no bondo on under area where drains holes are, I see that the drivers door was replaced as there is no speaker hole in that door, there the speaker hole in the passenger side I see some rust around the cut out.
