This auction is for an original paint (Adriatic blue) 1972, Porsche 914. I have a good clean signed title from the previous owner. This cars registration last expired in 1990, so it has been off the road a long time. The odometer shows 77,771 miles which could be accurate since it has been off the road more than 20 years. I found old old registration slips indicating that this car has always been in the Portland OR area, the good news there is no salted roads to destroy the chassis. There is surface rust in places and the battery tray is gone and replaced with a home-made angle iron bracket but the car looks to be structurally sound otherwise. At one time this car had an air conditioner so the front trunk under the spare tire area has holes cut into it. Comes as shown in the pictures, no engine, no carpet, otherwise mostly complete. I got a "side shift" transmission with the car and it is suppose to be good but I cannot guarantee it wont need a rebuild. I got this car from Craig Laughlin of Camp 914, he advertised that it has: "5 lug fuchs repros, redrilled rotors, H&R adjustable front sway bar, Koni shocks, bump steer kit, #140 rear springs". The car also looks like it has been lowered. The good: side shift transmission, suspension upgrades, 5 bolt conversion and fuchs replicas, original paint, solid body, great original color, good paint in rear trunk, door jams etc, Vin sticker in door jam, good title, mostly complete, no major accident damage, no salt history/always a Pacific NW car, cheap project car great for conversion or original restoration. The bad: surface rust, dents in doors and some in body, poor repair of battery area, air conditioner holes in front trunk, mouse nest/mouse urine rust damage under dash on drivers side shown in pictures (wont be seen once repaired and car is reassembled), chip in windshield that looks like it can be repaired, no engine. Although this car is inexpensive depending on where you live shipping can be quite a bit, please research that before bidding. Shipping is the winning bidders responsibility.
