Vehicle Detail
Well, the time has come for me to part with my EVO IX MR. It's been a great 5 years, and this has been the best car I've ever owned. I know I will miss it when it's gone, but it's just time to move on to something else. I've made a great deal on a 2010 EVO X SE that I couldn't pass up. I had no intention of selling this car any time soon, so I just spent close to $4000 in maintenance and upgrades to ensure long term reliability for myself. It sucks for me, but it's great for the next owner. For anyone looking to join the EVO community, this is an EXCELLENT chance to get in with miniumal cost, but recieve maximum value for the money!!!! This is arguably the most sought after EVO of all released in america; The 2006 EVO IX MR. You won't find another car in this condition for a price this low. I bought the car brand new on October 22nd, 2005 with 9 miles on the odometer. I've put every single mile on the car since then. The majority of the miles on the car are all highway miles. For 9 months in 2008, I had a 340 mile per day round trip commute to work. That's where the bulk of the miles came from. The car has been meticulously taken care of. ALL Maintenance, and scheduled service items have been done ON TIME, OR EARLY according to the factory service manual. The car has been garaged all it's life. It's never been exposed to snow, road salt, or any other harsh environments. It hasn't spent a night outside since it's been in my possession. Maintenance History: Oil changed every 5000 miles (or less) with Amsoil 10W-30 (10,000 mile oil), and either Mobil 1, or OEM mitsu filter All drivetrain fluids were replaced every 15-25k miles (or sooner) with OEM Diaqueen, and Mopar 75W-85 GL-4 Synthetic (basically synthetic Diaqueen) by myself, or KevinD. Timing belt, accessory belts, tensioners, balance shaft belts, and spark plugs replaced every 60k miles by KevinD. Water pump replaced at 120k miles PCV valve and valve hose replaced at 120k miles (preventative maintenance) Throttle body was pulled/cleaned at 120k miles, and again at 150k miles when the shaft seals were installed. Coolant system was flushed again at this last service interval Transmission and transfer case o-rings, and main seals were replaced at 120k miles The car just recently had it's 180,000 mile service done. This was completed EARLY like all maintenance on my car. The maintenance was done at 174,000 miles. The car currently has 176,000 miles on it. When I say recently, I mean 3 weeks ago. Included in this last maintenace stop were the following items: New spark plugs (less than 5000 miles ago) New timing belt accessory belts balance shaft belt tensioners oil changed with Amsoil 10w-30 front and rear diff fluid replaced with factory Diaqueen LSD fluid (the only fluid the diffs have ever seen) Transmission fluid replaced with Castrol Syntorq. This fluid is an EXACT equivalent to the Diaqueen fluid, and is sold by Mopar. It is 75w-85 GL-4, but is FULLY SYNTHETIC. It is the best fluid i've used for the transmission. Brand new Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers, 10k/12k rates, corner balanced by KevinD, and the car's alignment was done by NTB. Alignment specs are -2 camber front, -1 rear, 0 toe all around. The head was also pulled, and replaced with a new head that had been hot tanked, decked, and rebuilt. Head gasket was also replaced ARP headstuds were installed The reason for the head work was because there was simply preventative maintenance because of the miles. The car is basically brand new from the block up now. while the car was taken apart, the block was noted to be in excellent shape. the car was then conservatively retuned on 93 octane @22.5psi tapering to 20psi at redline. All work was done by KevinD at Evolution Dynamics in Lewisville, TX. Kevin has done every install on this car, performed every scheduled maintenance, and done all the tuning on this car. He is the only person that's ever worked on the car, and can vouch for the car's reliability, and condition. Exterior: The exterior of the car is in almost perfect shape. There are no rock chips on the front bumper, or hood because both were just recently repainted. I had a carbon fiber hood on the car, but replaced it with the factory hood. Before putting the factory hood back on, I had it repainted. The trunk was also replaced with a new factory unit, so it was also freshly painted. There are no door dings anywhere on the car, no dents, and the paint still looks great. Interior: The interior has been maintained perfectly. There's no wear on the steering wheel at all. There is normal wear on the seats, but nothing excessive. Most people that see the car think that it's got less than 30,000 miles on it. The only blemish on the interior is the driver's floor mat has a hole in it from me clutching for 5 years. Pictures below for verification of the condition. Now for the mods. I just recently modded the car, so almost all of the mods have less than 3000 miles on them. The coilovers have less than 500 miles. The car was never modded with ultimate power in mind. A lot of the mods were put on the car to replace things that may have gone out, before they did. The car was modded with long term reliability in mind. Engine: Walbro 255 fuel pump FIC 750cc injectors Spark tech Non-CDi COP Megan 3" O2 housing Megan 3" SS Downpipe Mil.Spec high pressure throttle body shaft seals Grimmspeed 3 port boost control solenoid HKS Carbon Ti catback modified for JDM IX rear by KevinD New head, springs, valves, retainers, hot tanked, decked, rebuilt Conservative, reliable powerful tune on 93 octane @ 22.5psi by KevinD. Car makes roughly 350-360whp, 320-330wtq according to Virtual Dyno. Drivetrain: ACT HDSS clutch ACT streetlite flywheel Diaqueen LSD fluid in front and rear diffs. Transfer case was dissasembled to fix a leak on the ACD bleeder screw, and the internals were inspected, and looked great. No shavings in any of fluid change since i've owned the car, no whine, no chatter, no issues at all. Castrol Syntorq GL-4 75W-85 full synthetic transmission fluid in the transmission. Also no metal shavings in the transmission, no whines, noises, shakes, zero issues. Transmission shifts as smooth as when I bought it. Suspension: Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers 10k/12k rates, corner balanced by KevinD, less than 500 miles on the set. these were installed, and setup this past weekend. Brakes: StopTech slotted rotors front and rear Hawk HPS pads front and rear (less than 1000 miles on them) Russell SS braided brake lines front and rear (less than 3000 miles on them) Amsoil Brake fluid (less than 3000 miles) Exterior: JDM IX rear EVO IX SE front lip (there was a JDP CF front lip, but it was damaged, and will be replaced with the standard IX SE front lip painted GG) Black painted roof and VG Honda Element shorty antenna Authentic Ralliart "Spirit of Competition" sticker on the hood above the driver's side headlight. Brand new (less than 3000 miles on them now) OEM IX HID headlights. I replaced these because the original set was beginning to haze. Wheels/Tires: EVO IX MR BBS wheels, and an extra IX MR BBS wheel as a spare 255/40/17 Nitto NT05 tires Interior: HKS Type-1 Turbo timer JDM Leather 6speed shift knob. I also have the USDM IX MR shift knob. For ANY questions, please call or text me @ 337-274-8332. If I do not answer, please leave me a message with your name, number, and reference this ad.
