2005 BMW R-Series

2005 R1200GS I purchased this bike from BMW Daytona in Nov 2004, It was a factory demo bike with about 3000 miles when I purchased it. This GS currently has 40,xxx miles and counting. I've repainted it to match the BMW roundel (blue and white). The seats are re-done in leather by Rick Meyer also the passenger back rest. The windshield is 2"higher and 2" wider Cee Bailey aftermarket windshield (original BMW windshield included) other extras included are,Aeroflow headlight proctector, BMW engine protection bars, BMW "vario" cases(saddlebags), Tourtech GS Tankbag, Cortech tailbag. This bike is also equipped with the optional spoke wheels, and ABS. This bike has been serviced every 6000 miles as specified by BMW at Bogarts BMW in Birmingham , AL (now closed). Never been dropped, wrecked or damaged. Only ridden with enthusiasim mostly on paved roads(it has seen hundreds of miles of rural Alabama dirt/gravel roads). The front tire is pretty good, the rear needs replacing soon. The original battery was replaced last year and gets regular attention from a battery tender. I'm selling this bike reluctantly becaue I've succumbed to the siren song of the new sportster custom and can't afford both simultaneously. NADA guides and Kelly blue book give a suggested retail value on this machine between $6339 and $9645. Given the extras I think $7000 is a fair price.
