I want to sell my Green1998 Ranger 4X4 Super cab because I have too many vehicles in front of my house. It has 141,000 miles on it and it is still pretty reliable. The Negatives: I let the inspection run out because I never drive it. There is a crack in the windshield (needs replaced) and the door locks are very tricky (the key may be worn). The 4X4 works but is noisy, (noise is not coming from the transfer case, it is sounds like it is coming from the CV joint on the left of the transfer case. The neutral switch in the steering column is a little tricky so you sometimes have to pull up on the gearshift to start it. It leaks a little oil from the oil pan.The clear coat is peeling on the top of the sides of the bed. It needs a serpentine belt because this one is starting to squeal a little. Positives: The engine is a V6 3.0 and is a good strong engine, the power steering pump is new, the AC blows cold, BF Goodrich all season mud and snow tires that are pretty loud on the road, It has never been wrecked. It has a decent stereo CD player. I keep it in 2 Wheel Drive, I drove it to Tennessee Last November and it rode fine for an old truck with MUD tires.
