Vehicle Detail
1986 CJ-7 with a Chevy 350. This Jeep had a frame off resto about 5-6 years ago. The frame was sand blasted, treated and painted. The body was also lightly sand blasted, primed and painted. From what I was told there wasn't much rust to either to start with, and I believe it, the frame is as solid as I have seen. The exterior paint is in decent shape, but does have some chips and scratches from being off road. The interior of the body was then Rhino lined. A 2.5" ProComp lift and a spring over was done along with all new brake lines. The brakes themselves were redone in Sept of 2006. A Dana 30 axle was installed in the front - 411 gears - Detroit Truetrac w/new bearings. The rear axel is a Dana 44, from a 1976 Scout - 411 gears - Detroit Loocker w/new bearings. NP205 gear driven transfer case. New drive shafts. New Bilstein 5150 front shocks and coil over rear shocks. A custom roll cage, rock/step bars and square tube bumpers were added. The cage is awesome, one of the best I have ever seen. It has a Mile Marker winch and dual batteries. Smittybilt 6" aftermarket fender flares. New waterproof front and rear seats were added at this time as well and they are still in great shape, no rips or tears. Front and rear fog lights. The motor is a stock 350 Chevy that I was told had about 20,000 miles on it when installed. The motor runs great but does have a small oil drip from the rear main seal. It is so small I have never worried about it and I have never even had to add additional oil to make up for the drip. I did have a new fuel pump installed in Sept of 2006 as well. A new 4 speed SM465 Muncie manual transmission, Centerforce clutch, 4-core radiator and dual SS exhaust pipes w/turbo mufflers were also added during the resto. I have owned it for 4 1/2 years and I have only added 2142 additional miles. It has power steering and drives straight and true, even with the big 37/12.50 Good Year Wrangler tires. Tons of tread left. 15x12 Alloy Rims. I also have a matching rim for a spare but no tire. In some of the pictures you will see a spare tire on the back of the Jeep, but that tire is not included in the sale, but the custom swing out spare tire rack is. There is no full top for the Jeep. I have a mesh sun top on it now and love it, I also have a new bikini top and the frame for a full top that I will include in the sale. As you can see in the pictures it has aluminum diamond plate half doors, I also have the soft uppers for the doors. I have never used them but they would be good if you added a full top, and if you added a full top you might be surprised to hear that this Jeep also has factory AC that works. I added Wrangler mirrors to the half doors, but I still have the original CJ mirrors which are included in the sale. It has a Pioneer am/fm/cd mp3 player and front and rear speakers. Diamond plate center lock box and a locking tool box behind the back seat with a jack mounted on top. The Jeep has always been garaged since I have owned it. This is an awesome Jeep and I'm sure the new owner will love it. It definately gets a lot of looks and compliments anytime I have it out. I have really enjoyed it but I just don't use it enough. I have described this Jeep to the best of my ability, it is being sold as is with no warranties. Payment is due within 7 days after end of auction. Cash or Cashiers check, no Paypal. I will work with a shipping company if you need to have it shipped. For sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early.
