The transmission is also original to this car, as well as the Ford 9 inch rear-end. Truly amazing to find a car with the original drive-train, but this 67 S Code 390 GTA has it! Car was scheduled to be built, December 20th, 1966, and was actually built on January 12th, 1967. The car is very complete but is a project car that needs completely restored. Once restored this car will be worth a lot of $$$$$, and will remain a piece of Ford history exactly, how they built it on the assembly line. Body The car has some rust issues. The front frame rails, fender aprons, radiator support, front cross-member, floor pans, possibly lower cowl panel(can’t really tell with all the components still attached, heater stuff) and parts of the firewall need replaced. The usual Mustang problem areas. I am including (2) new frame rails, and (1) full Factory Ford Frame rail (RH) Side, with the shock tower attached that is extremely solid, a new radiator support, and all (4) new fender aprons. Suspension All of the suspension is still intact, and attached to the car. The front has Disc Brakes, and the rear is drum. All of the steering components, and front suspension is there, along with the rear suspension parts and the 9” ford Rear-End. Hood Hood is in good shape, has a ding or two in it, but comes with the turn signal inserts, with the turn signal indicators and wiring still in it. The latch, trim, and F-O-R-D letters are still on it. Overall the hood is very, very straight. Fenders Driver side fender is overall very straight and solid. The bottom has some rust, but nothing a nice fender patch wouldn’t fix. Has a small hole in it. The passenger side is very straight and solid, couple small rust bubbles. Doors Door hinge Pillars are in excellent shape on both sides. The doors are overall very nice. The bottom front on both doors needs a small patch, but overall the doors will make very nice originals. All internal door components are still in the doors. Floor Tunnel and seat boxes are in great shape. The floor pans need replaced on both sides due to some poor quality patching over the years. Rockers Very Solid. Inner and Out Rocker Panels are in great shape. Quarters The quarters are very, very straight, and have never been cut out. The tops of the quarters are flawless. The driver side bottom front has a small bit of rust on it, and the bottom rear has had some repair in it at some point in time. The passenger side is about the same. Overall very nice quarters they won’t need to be fully replaced, just maybe a couple lower patches. Quarter extensions are also in very good condition. All of the quarter ornaments are in place, and are in extremely good condition. Trunklid The top of the trunk lid is very, very nice and straight, nice shape and no dings. The underneath is also very nice, has a couple repair places on the underside lip, but could be cleaned up and made to look like they were never there. Overall, a very solid, smooth, straight, and useable original trunk lid. Original M-U-S-T-A-N-G letters still on trunk along with trunk metal trim. Roof About the best looking roof and sail panels I have ever seen on an original mustang. Tailight Panel Overall very solid and straight, a small split on the RH top. Will be an easy fix. Have all taillight parts for both sides, and all wiring. Also has a pop open Mustang Gas cap. Glass All glass is intact and is great condition, no cracks anywhere. Trim Original Pop open “Mustang” Gas Cap(Part#), specific to the exterior décor group. All of the window trim is also there, front and rear, intact, and in good condition. Door window trim and vent window trim also in good condition. Drip rail moldings also in good condition. Interior Original Gauges with Tachometer and Clock still in car. All interior trim is in the car. Shifter with all the linkage is still in the car. All heater components (controls, and heater box etc) is still in the car. All the wiring is still in the car. All interior is present except the original front seats. I don’t know what happened to them. Interior was originally parchment. The back seat has been dyed black, but you can see where it use to be parchment. The door panels, middle console, and other interior trim panels have been painted black, but use to be parchment. All the interior panels are definitely useable, but need refinished. Lower console has a couple cracks but is complete. The upper console has the map lights and all wiring still on it and is in good condition. Rear Frame Rails At some point sub-frame connectors were installed onto the rear torque boxes, and a plate still remains which could be cut off and smoothed over. About 12” of passenger side frame rail needs replaced. The driver side rail seems to have been reinforced at some time in its life. The roof, windshield pillars, rocker panels, upper quarters, upper cowl area, panel at the bottom of rear window, trunk lid, hood, upper trunk area, door hinge posts, taillight panel, and transition pan are all in real good shape. If a car deserves to be restored properly, it is this one for sure. This is a project car, but once it’s done, it will be extremely valuable. I have tried to be as thorough as possible, but please feel free to email me with any questions. Also feel free to come and look at the car if you are in the area. 1967 GTA S Code 390 4v All Original DRIVETRAIN I will ship this car ANYWHERE, as long as the buyer pays all shipping costs. I will put everything in the car so that the only thing that has to be transported is the car itself. I can help with shipping arrangements, and all my services will be FREE! Buyers are more than welcome to come and inspect the car. Remember this car needs completely restored. Car doesn’t run, but does roll and steer very easily, and has a little bit of brake left.
